I have decided to do Iron Hands colours for SM and Ash Scorpions colours for Solar Auxilia but choosing a Titan Legion scheme is tough for me. Is there any Titan Legion with a mostly metallic scheme? I have painted my SM in such a way and wouldn´t like the titans to stand apart from my SM too much.

Most metallic shemes are done with candy colors over metals.

But what you could do is paint them as in an adapted Legio Gryphonicus paint sheme (https://adeptus-titanicus.fandom.com/wiki/Legio_Gryphonicus_(War_Griffons) )

Its mostly grey with a few Yellow armour parts, so you could replace the Grey parts with dulled down Metal colors.

I dont know how good your painting skills are, but i would do a metallic bascoat and airbrush some grey over the armour panels and give them a light drybrush with something like Scale 75 Decayed Metal and some dark steel metel to get a bit of the metallic sheen back.

These guys have yellow parts and I am currently not keen on painting that colour. How much room is there in 30K to create your own Titan Legion? Space Marines are set in stone. Can the same be said about the Titans? If not I just come up with a cheesy name for the Legion and my own colour scheme.

Well, Titanicus has a whole set of rules to for DIY Legions ( and Knight Households).

There surely is room for some Legio Minoris from a more minor  Forgeworld.

There are also several minor forges in the fluff already that are de facto lieges to major Forgeworlds - that might be an excuse to grab a colour scheme of an  existing Legio you like and just alter it slightly to fit your intentions by setting up  your Legio as a sort of “successor chapter” detachment ?

So GW came up with the cheesy Legio Metallica during the 80s totally not ripping off a certain heavy metal band. How about a Legio with the name of "Kings of Metal" with an oily metallic colour scheme to go along with my Iron Hands? They would taunt the traitors with scrap code chatter such as "Wimps and posers leave the hall" and would "blow their speakers" by increasing the sounds of their war horns to the max.

I think Legio Metallica or Legio Ignatum would look cool with a metallic scheme… at least for the red.

According to the Titanicus Wiki, the Legios most associated with the Xth are:

Agrevides

Astorum

Atarus

Gryphonicus

Ignatum

Solaria

So if you wanted to go more fluffy, I’d say grab from one of them. Otherwise, just pick a scheme that you think looks good with your force and go from there.

There are hundreds (Possibly thousands?) of Titan legions active during the Heresy, looooads of room for homebrew, Space marines too between alternate uniforms, shattered legions, lost legions and blackshields incidentally.

Mechanically you could use the custom legion rules, or just file the serial numbers off the many (many...) official legion rules' sets in Titanicus (Best game) but so far all titans are exactly the same in Epic.

Legio Megadeth. Founded after a princeps was forcibly ejected from Legio Metallica, which to this day is constant source of bitterness.

Bonus points for re-writing scrap code so it’s the same but faster and just giving it a different name.

Or something along those lines…

Depending upon colour schemes and whether you want something that closely mirrors your Iron Hands or something that contrasts, you could try the following:

Legio Crucius (black and white with silver and gold trim)

Legio Fortidus (copper and white with black accents/hazards and silver trim)

Legio Oberon (black and orange (could be copper/bronze) with gunmetal trim)

Crucius closely echoes the traditional Iron Hands scheme, whereas Oberon takes the black but introduces a strong contrast, which, if you did it as a metallic, would look rather impressive. Fortidus takes the white spot colour from the Iron Hands and uses that well and adds copper, which you could use on your Iron Hands sparingly and you could easily add some black detail on your titans if you were to go with that scheme too. All three have rules in Titanicus, or you can create your own (there are also rules for that) so you can have fun with any option you desire!
