Orion
Ok, so currently no one ever sees my warhammer stuff except me, but Jud's Krieg thread inspired me to at least dump some pics out there. I hope to have some more close ups of units and a few details I found neat. Desert was the theme, kinda inspired by Battlefield 1's Sinai desert map. Here's the pile. Got a gorgon as well after. Not pictured. General idea is I really love the resin Krieg models, and figured they're likely not always gonna be around. Built everything Current state of the finished stuff Note "Hammer guy" So far this would have to be the most fun army I've collected. Each piece of artillery is like a diorama to make, and there's a lot of life in the sculpts. Props to Will Hayes, Simon Eagan, Mark Bedford, Daren Parrwood, Daniel Cockersell, Tony Cottrell, Brian Fawcett. brother_b
You, sir, are the epitome of go big or go home. I can’t wait to see where this goes. The big field guns look amazing. The Pounder
Man! Those look stunning! Like you said the Artillery are like mini dioramas! You don’t often see desert Krieg so kudos for doing something different. If your artillery is this good can’t wait for the Infantry and Deathriders! Not sure if the thread is going to get more or less interesting, but either way, there will definitely be Deathriders. I'll try to get some nicer photos too. Maritn
Those models look fantastic! What's the base size of your Medusas? Orion 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381949-desert-korps-of-krieg/#findComment-6012418 Share on other sites

They're designed to fit the carriages, and include neat details like the foundation plates. Means I could use the ones that came with the carriages as extra basing detail, like torn up metal. 200x155 Desert base Maritn and Bonehead 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381949-desert-korps-of-krieg/#findComment-6012466 Share on other sites
Bonehead
Looking very good indeed! I do love to see a paint scheme on guard models that steps away from the standard. And when it's done this well, it's a real treat. Looking forward to seeing more. Orion
Thanks for the kinds words all! Not much to update. Been working on the Gorgon, magnetising and painting the interior. Will post pics when the interior and crew are painted. In the meantime I finally took some nicer photos of the stuff I've already shown. Thanks for visiting thread. Will post updates soon. Maritn
Any new pics to share? Btw, how did you make these desert bases, especially the sand? It all looks so natural. Orion
As of today, yes. But not much. I've had a big break from the hobby to work on digital art stuff. Not going to show my half painted Krieg, but I did make a late addition to the army. Converted from a Death Rider and the tank commander commissar. Pistol is from command upgrade. Base situation is WIP. Needs more flat spots. The army will get done eventually. Life has just got in the way a bit. Thanks for the interest! and the sand is wall filler (spackle)! Maybe some Death Riders finished up soon (except this guy). But no promises unfortunately. Maritn
Thanks! Did you simply paint the spackle or also shade or dry brush it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381949-desert-korps-of-krieg/#findComment-6056124 Share on other sites
