Base size for scouts and similar units

With the realese of the new scout  miniatures,we need to change base of old miniatures, re-basing them or not?Not only scouts, plastic or metal. For example, I use a Telion miniature as my Pathfinder consul. The miniature use the same base size of the scouts.

I know quite well Horus Heresy' scouts aren't  "young trainees", as are in W40K. In fact, they are totally grown-up marines and real veterans, and it's nothing officially saod. But now with this new guys around, I have some doubts.

Personally I'd put them on the same bases as the rest of my infantry/characters for consistency, so 32/40mm for scouts/consul respectively

Complete agree with case of the Consul. But 40 mm is not for terminator size miniatures?

Ultimately it isn't a "hard" rule what base you use:

That depends entirely on when you bought them, for consistency I prefer the larger end as it helps officers pop.

You never must re-base your miniatures. If yours stand on 28mm it is not a problem and so aren't 32mm Bases.
