Both are nice, though unfortunately neither is anything I want in terms of my personal armies. I could pick up the Ethereal just to paint, it is a good looking model.

Happy to see another non-marine mini for 40K, long may that continue. Shame it's a hassle to get hold of but that's its own issue.

For AoS, I can't understand GWs obsession with standalone Fyreslayer characters. At this point they must outnumber actual units in the army by about 3:1.

It's a very nice model, I like the little elements box. I think the posing is a little off for me though, she looks a bit unnecessarily balanced standing on a rock making her look like she's in danger of falling over. It's almost as if all the Space Marines have taken all the decent tacticool rocks and she's having to make do with an impractical pebble instead. I think if I were to get it I think removing the rock would make it look so much a lot better in my mind taking it from a good model to a great one.

Looks nice but I share a feeling that this would of been a wonderful perma-addition to the tau range as right now we only have one etheral model available and while I may have had my second chance with the MTO etherals, many aren't getting that chance. Also feels bad having someone sculpt this piece and just have it never come back, these store anniversary models are always quite pleasant.

I'll try and get one for myself, not sure if I want to get 4 for the whole elements of maybe try and magnetise the pot to have it swappable.

She (I assume based on the sculpt, they seem to refuse to refer to her with actual pronouns despite being quite clearly female, which is weird) looks alright. Not amazing mind you, pose is a bit weird and the incense thing doesn't do it for me, but I don't hate her. Would make for a decent conversion base if it wasn't a limited release.

When the first rumors popped of a melee oriented ethereal and that in the midst of the kroot wave rumors and with him able to lead kroot now.. i really expected  it to be aun'shi.

However i dont see why someone would describe this one as melee oriented..

Personally i think, like with the ordo malleus inquisitor and the two catachan ones this is such a wasted oppurtunity for fulfilling missing or lacking main options though. But it is what it is.

There could be another one coming with the codex, and/or someone thought the staff was a spear of some description?

Gate keeping specific options behind store anniversary models should not happen though, many people can't get these at an affordable price as they don't live close to any Warhammer stores. Alternative poses, cool bitz, stuff like that is cool though
