Wandered along to FP Shaftsbury avenue at lunch - I counted at least 6 Wraithlord issues - Top shelf, hidden behind some of the jetbike issues

Lots of both the jetbike issues available - picked some of these up for me

There were even a few issue #1 in stock.

isn't there 3 jet bike issues?

although isn't there only one sprue? so maybe its just 3x that sprue in first two and the stands in the 3rd one?

Yes they are doing 6 bikes over 3 issues. Each bike is on its own sprue. You get 2 x bikes and 2 x stands in each of the three issues.

ah great, so just need 3 of any issue rather than all 3

got 4 copies of issue 28. Didn't realise there was actually 3 types of sprue with different canopies/heads but doesn't really matter, paint jobs will make them look a bit different. Will have to work out how to convert two to a farseer and a warlock.

No idea which way around I did it but I picked up a total of 3 across issues 27/28
I dont play eldar (or much at all generally) but I am tempted to get 3 more issues to have 12 bikes in total.

took a wander to FP  at lunch and didnt get more jetbikes however,... issues 7 and 8 were on offer for £7.99 each so grabbed one of each for some more bodies for the swarm

 

more still on the shelves

Plenty of the latest issue there too

Such a shame there aren’t more FP stores around. Closest to me is Cambridge I think and that’s a couple of hours’ drive away. I’ve managed to snag the wraithlord and first two sets of jetbikes but I may not be able to get into my local shop in time to get the third issue next week cos I’m off out to work too early. Bit annoying if I end up with 4 as you need the multiples of 3…

It can be a bit hit and miss - particularly popular issues never make it to the shelves or you get one half of a set.

 

FP, Newstand and buymagsdirect all have 29 available online though I appreciate the deliver cost kind of kills off the savings

How are you doing that? The Newsstand website wont let me purchase anything beyond issue 30.

Under Subscribe here I used the drop down to select issue 37 and make a 2 issue subscription

Has it actually been possible to buy single issues from hatchette?  Complete missed out on the Chaplain biker, but was thinking of picking up some of the later issues like the zerkers.  No locals stockists sadly, and last time I checked I couldn't pre-order more than a single magazine each time from forbidden planet (would make it cost inefficient).

Picked up the three issues of Windriders at Forbidden Planet, Shaftesbury Avenue today; had two shelves full of copies.

 

Apart from paint issues, they also have copies of the four termagants issues (reduced to £7.99); £16 for ten (& a ripper swarm) is pretty good, if you need more that is. Only other ones still in stock are Stormbringer Kharadron HQ on foot and both issues of Swampboss Skumdrekk, all at £7.99 too; just FYI in case anyone wants for cheap conversions.

I haven't bought from them direct for some time as I had so many issues with Conquest but I do check their site periodically to see where we are in terms of releases. I've never seen anything released available to buy 

 

Very frustrating that FP changed their Mailing options/prices - I understand why but still frustrating. I spent a lot more with them for previous magazine runs when 

 

Newsstand did have a couple of chaplains pop up a while ago so it is always worth a look

you can 'request this issue' to get a notification

 

They mark the price up for postage though per issue so only really economical for higher value items like the chaplain

Quick question to anyone who subscribes or subscribed.

Did you have issues with them sending issues out of sequence and missing the prem sub kits? 

 

I've got an 8 issue gap and they should have sent the 1st prem kit at the start or March but haven't.  

 

Not sure if I should cut my losses.

Not had any issues personally, but I did see some posts on social media from subscribers who received emails saying that some issues in their subscription were delayed as they were having to do additional print runs to meet demand. 

 

I'd say it's worth contacting Hachette customer service (I've always had a good experience when I've needed to contact them, personally )

I had a missed subscription delivery, when I checked my user account I was able to identify that I had been charged but not received the issues.

 

As suggested, contact customer services as they were able to help me out and dispatched the missing issues. Also a later issue was missing a sprue and they sent me a new copy of the magazine.

 

My one caveat is phone them! I tried resolving my first issue by e-mail, there was a lot of back and forth as customer services could not seem to understand my issue. As soon as I phoned everything was resolved quickly and the Customer Services representative said that it always better to phone.

Here in Spain it is Salvat rather than hachette (just a brand name difference not a product one), and they offer both future issues and back issues on their website
