Blindhamster
Hey folks, wondering if anyone has a decent source for blood angel assault intercessor shoulder pads? Currently I make my own, but it’s time consuming so wondering at alternatives Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382107-blood-angel-assault-intercessors-shoulder-pads/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
3d printing is your best bet. There's a few sources out there with Shoulder pad packs that cover every possibility. Usually in the $5-10AU range. Hopefully you have or know someone with a printer, it would be ~$1 worth of resin to run off enough pads for an entire company Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382107-blood-angel-assault-intercessors-shoulder-pads/#findComment-6016070 Share on other sites
Blindhamster
I’ve not found an stl that looked particularly consistent with any of the existing blood angel pad designs (either the firstborn or primaris upgrade set) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382107-blood-angel-assault-intercessors-shoulder-pads/#findComment-6016089 Share on other sites
Xenith
How do you mean, like sculpted BA icon, or a stylised assault insignia? There's the intercessor upgrade sprue for the former. Assault intercessors have the trim on their pad, was hoping someone might have made one of those pads with the intercessor upgrade emblem e.g. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382107-blood-angel-assault-intercessors-shoulder-pads/#findComment-6016211 Share on other sites
Rusted Boltgun
Mars Forges have something close but whether it is close enough...? EDIT: print quality not as sharp as GW and I would suggest pads from them on both sides to ensure visual balance. LameBeard
If you’re going Mars Forges you could get the “curved icon / 3d decal” and then wouldn’t need to worry about the matching pad - but you would need to worry about the overall fragility when removing supports etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382107-blood-angel-assault-intercessors-shoulder-pads/#findComment-6016249 Share on other sites

The BA ones are more 'solid' though so may fare better in transit/ with handling.
