None.

One of the things to bear in mind is that during the period of the Great Crusade, all the Space Marine Legions were fully equipped, trained, and capable of operating across all spectrums of combined arms warfare. They may have had individual emphases and cultural preferences/expressions/biases towards particular forms of warfare, but they all could conduct any kind of warfare, and had access to any form of Astartes equipment.

OK cool, thank you. Reason for asking is I’m considering getting into Heresy and the jetbikes would be a non negotiable, so I’m drawn to the White Scars, but I have already started an all-beaky Raven Guard army in 40K, so it would make sense to try and make any new models cross over. Obviously I can’t use jetbikes in 40K, but I could double up most of the Age of Darkness box. Only thing is I much prefer the Khan’s model and character to Corax’s… dang my flitting brain

You could go the best of both worlds, and create a mixed Legion task force of White Scars and Raven Guard?

You could have background of your Raven Guard serving as some kind of joint exchange who learn to appreciate the White Scar methodology and worldview and sort of "go native," working to integrate Fifth Legion equipment and tactics with the Nineteenth's emphasis on guerilla actions and HVT decapitation.

Lots of cool potential!

As mentioned, there's absolutely no reason. Every Legion, from the Night Lords to the Alpha Legion would have armored companies for instance.

Nice idea! Brain is now fried even more though lol

Being a Legion heavily based on stealth and reconnaissance they would have absolutely used jetbikes but as others have said, they would have made use of the full panoply available to them. There's some good lore on the Raven Guard in the Horus Heresy Book 'Extermination' with images of their armoury etc. You can usually find the images online if you search enough.

Edit. Is it ok to post a link to Pinterest image here?

Yeah, this board is a never-ending source of "Oh, that's a cool idea! Now to add that to the pile of 'things I wish I had hobby time/funds/mental bandwidth for!'"

'Mental bandwidth'...I like that. Currently staring at an endless sea of part-built, part-converted plastic and resin and I am seriously lacking the mental bandwidth to focus and finish each one at a time before starting another project half way through the last.

Thanks. Yes I think if you post links they convert to images automatically.

It’s really difficult. Just pick something - anything - and have a crack at it. It doesn’t matter if it’s the biggest or the flashiest model, or if you already started a different project. Painting something is better than painting nothing. Good luck with it all!

None at all. In fact, totally the opposite in my opinion.

In the other hand,it's a "core" unit used by all legions. Even Custedes and Sisters use them
