Terminatorinhell
Hi all, So waaaay back in the mid 2000s I think GW did a campaign on the 13th black crusade and there was like a bunch of custom characters, one of which I remember was using a space marine captain plastic model with power fist, storm bolter and iron warrior head, I think in a dark Grey scheme. Does anyone know where I could find an archive of all the entries. I want to indulge in the nostalgia again. Also there was some random blood entry of a custom that I remember using a space marine, chaos warrior parts and anm khorne T helmet without the horned and some kind of winged halo. I know it's kind of vague but I've been looking for a while N1SB 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382194-looking-for-old-inspiration/ Share on other sites
Wormwoods
A mix of chaos and non-chaos parts on a grey space marine sounds like the Space Wolves 13th Great Company, who showed up in the 13th Black Crusade. Because 13. I think White Dwarf 280-30? Terminatorinhell
Hmm not quite. It was like a vanilla marine chapter I think and a single model. I think his name was captain octavius or something vut I never found it. At the time GA had like a whole section of the models people made Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382194-looking-for-old-inspiration/#findComment-6019238 Share on other sites
Wormwoods
Hmm. OK then, two other possibilities: it's some kind of Relictors conversion (about the right time, dark grey, use of chaos bits) or it's something somebody submitted for the Chapter Master articles. Do you remember the context for the image? Anything like the below? Yes, I am just trawling through my White Dwarf PDFs. Terminatorinhell
I think the context was like player entries for "character units" like I remember there being dreadnoughts and stuff as well. twopounder
I know the one you're talking about. I may still have him, but I'll have to check. I don't remember a lot of cast models for that campaign though. tinpact
I remember a Crimson Fists conversion with the Iron Warriors head from a WD around then, but I think it might have just been a popular bit to use. twopounder
I guess I was thinking of a different one. But it's close to what you describe I think. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382194-looking-for-old-inspiration/#findComment-6021464 Share on other sites
Terminatorinhell
It was the Medusa V campaign actually. So like GW had a page with all the entries from participants with custom characters and they looked really cool. tinpact 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382194-looking-for-old-inspiration/#findComment-6021578 Share on other sites
