Shinespider
I think the thing is that most people aren't going to an event, so the actual calculation most people are conducting here is: am I going to spend $50 to buy this model from a scalper on eBay? For the Kroot... it's just a guy. He's replacing a ~$5-6 model and won't stand out from the crowd. The value proposition is just worse. brother_b
The kroot is also cool and will add some flavor to their new army detachment. ThePenitentOne
For units that can do it, I tend to run KT/ 40K Gestalt profiles. So you Spec Op/ Crusade with a unit, and the XP generated give you a Battle Honour from both games when you level. Afterall, it doesn't make sense for a Legendary Kill Team fighter to behave like a green trooper in a 40k army. That's why I want this kroot. He'd be in both my Kill Team and my 40k army, and he'd be earning battle honours in both games. He's a cool anchor for an identity forged in battle.
