Nobody else find it odd that world eaters didn’t get the same? Also, seems kinda heavy handed and lazy as a “fix” honestly.

like a James Swallow novel. We need more Guy Haley. Sorry it was my first thought. The extra strength is appreciated though. I was expecting some SG and Meph love.

I am actually pleasantly surprised we got buffed at all. I was genuinely expecting to get nothing but points adjustments until our Codex supplement dropped.

Our detachment bonus is not exactly complicated so this sort of simple fix makes more sense than adding entirely new buffs. Would I like to see some buffs like charge bouses? Absolutely. Was I expecting to see any in a dataslate? Not really.

Do GW really think SG are in the right place at 35ppm? BGVs are 30ppm, have 50% more wounds and a 4++. I think GW over-values the 12" move of SG. They are good but not that good!

mid have preferred it reverted to 1st round of combat the buff is active like the past two editions personally. Similarly simple fix, and would mean it’s more readily applicable

100% my thoughts, the +2S is okay, it’s nothing world-changing. A few break points for anti-infantry weapons change, and a few for anti-tank melee.

The enhancements are still terrible and the strats are okay(well, 50% are).

Not seeing any points changes to go along with this is definitely a bummer and SG will continue not being worth their points.

I guess all we can do is hope for the best in a new supplement? :ermm:

I'm sad my Tacticals and Devastators didn't get cheaper

Or gotten the option for being taken in squads of 5…

Devs are good though I think. The grav and MM bombs do work.

It is the cheapest way to get Lascannons into a list as well. 120 points for 4 of them is not at all shabby. Park them on your home Objective and start sniping tanks/monsters.

Would also have preferred first round of combat instead of +2 S. I'm also irritated, that Drukhari got such a spotlight sitting right at 45 winrate like ourselves. Maybe they thought we get a synergy buff from increasing the points of some generic sapce marine units? That was meant to be sarcastic, just to be clear.

Drukhari really needed help. I have seen some analyses that put them below 40% winrate.

Getting bonuses on the first round (regardless of Charges) would be nice but does not seem to be a common thing in 10th. Really we need some points drops on several of our key units.

Not moving also makes them ignore cover which helps!

yeah I think getting the bonus in the first round of every new combat is necessary. (just make it like it was in 9th, Gw, please - it wasn’t much but at least it worked!)

Also, top it off with +1 to advance and charge, while you’re at it. Honestly, melee is so bad you could slap a lot of buffs into the same detachment and not be OP.

In tournament level terrains layout, which have higher density, if you park an infantry model on your home objective, usually it can't see any targets.

I've been playing with some numbers and I'd like to share if you want to play with it. It's not accounting for inv saves or fnp, just something basic to have an idea of damage tiers, what looks good in CC and what no. Anyway rule of cool > math, but I was curious.

Edit: adding link instead.

Brother @Goranged, your attachment did not survive translation from the Warp.

Maybe take a screenshot and share it as an image instead. I like the odd bit of MathHammer so I am interested to see what you have got.
