No Physical Black Library Celebration Book 2024

Sorry if this is old news, but I just noticed this at checkout this morning

 

I didnt bother buying a book just to get the free short story compliation book but am miffed/bummed out that the book is ebook only. Think I had every Celebration book since about 2016 and always really enjoyed them

 

Know theres costs, supply chain issues etc, but there goes some fun. And a full price book sale for GW

I think they'll be a few paperback copies if you buy books in GW stores, it seems to imply, but I agree it is really disappointing how every year Black Library gets worse and worse.

There is in store as I was given one with a purchase the other day.  Shame they are pushing eBook for online orders.  GW don't seem to understand eBook doesn't work for many people.  See how they now only ever keep the first of a series in stock now and expect people to buy eBooks for the rest.

I wonder if they overprinted in previous years, so they decided to bin off physicals for the webstore? I remember them being added to an order a couple of months after previous Celebrations.

They've also been trying to get folks more in their physical stores recently beyond just introduction into the hobby, which is a pivot from their previous policy on it.

 

For example, in the US, each store is now physically allotted a chunk of each new box set, as the workers successfully argued for.

Wonder how that lines up with pre orders?
