The reinforcements thing isn’t something I had considered, and I guess that is pretty good.

If you own the Medusa model, or your opponent could accept your proxy, play it as many games as you can. The remaining time of its staying in competitive 40K won't be long.

I thought that was by design so you aren't forced into an update until you are ready.  Any event held the weekend after the update would likely stick to the older costs, for example.
