I did not see it comented other there.

If I initially though it sceamed out for dwarves (AoS or the Old World), but might it be SW related?

May be a little bland for 40k, plus missing power cables or so....

Typically Space Wolf Axes have either An exceedingly obvious Wolf Head on them or are covered in Fenrisian Runes.

This Axe has neither of those, nor any form of power cable which would indicate that its a power/"Frost" weapon at all.

It also looks like a very small Axe tbh, so Non-40k Dwarves looks like it's accurate (since it also doesn't look like an LoV axehead)

It's also worth pointing out that SW (30k and 40k) have largely diamond shaped gems rather than oblong shaped:

It's probably safe to say that it's not Votann based on the axes we have so far:

Dispossessed (AoS old style dwarves, neither Fyreslayers or Kharadron) are being mentioned more and more in the current edition and Grungi and Grombrindal are on the move, we've also got TOW dwarves coming out relatively shortly and Grombrindal is due his anniversary very soon, I think one of these is a safe bet

Would bet that it's a new Grombindal/White Dwarf miniature, given they specifically called out in the Relics article that he was "turning 500" and there would be a merch box containing unknown stuff for the occasion.

The currently available model wasn't even designed specifically for him, it's an 8th Edition WFB Dragon Slayer with a new paintjob.

The wolves are a lot like orks.

We are not subtle.

You know a wolf rumor image immediately.

True.

The real question when a wolf rumor image drops, wont be "Is this a wolf axe?", it'll be "Who specifically does this wolf axe belong to?"
