I tried to make it shorter but I guess anyone who's tried writing knows how sometimes you bite off more than you can chew. Word count 3597.

OK, it's Friday AM so we're going to call Challenge 5 closed!

 

Well done to everyone who took part in this one, and indeed to everyone who has taken part in any/all of the Challenges!

 

Over the weekend I will try to pull everything together and we'll see who has managed to complete the entire Iron Gauntlet!

I have to report to the Commissariat for failure in regards to the fourth and final challenge in addition to the third, and while I knew I did not have time for the fourth at the time I had every intention to do the final challenge, and I simply forgot, oops!  

So Congrats to all who made it, and well done for having persisted. I hope you all had as much fun with the tasks as I had with the ones I did manage to do.

So, as you can see, the Iron Gauntlet again proves itself to be one of the toughest Challenges here on the B+C!

 

Very well done to anyone who completed one or more of the individual Challenges, there were several Frater who did really well…

 

…but particular congratulations and kudos have to go to Rusted Boltgun, who was able to successfully complete all 5 Challenges and therefore joins the very small group of individuals who have earned the coveted Iron Gauntlet! Well done, @Rusted Boltgun !

 

 

 

(Because I took over running the Challenges, I'm not sure if Badges were created that can be displayed in your Signatures, either for Participants, Completions or even the Iron Gauntlet itself. I will look into whether anyone put these together)

I enjoyed your writing @bloodhound23, do you have a mini for Malvero?

And thank you to @Lysimachus for invigilating.

I had an absolute blast with this challenge though it was certainly tough to complete in places. 

My Fists of Light are now well on the way to having a playable 40k force and the Scouts will hopefully be in action again before the end of 2024.

Congrats to all, especially Rusted Boltgun!

 

This really is one of the best and more difficult challenges in the hobby, and encapsulates the total hobby experience. I've said before, I've gotten more done this year than I have in the past 3. Thank you to Daimyo-Phaeron Lenoch and Lysimachus for running the event, here's to hoping third time is the charm and I can finally finish the gauntlet (or obtain it, dependent on how you look at it I suppose).
