Not really news, but for those who were looking for them/lamenting they missed them. There's been a restock of the Legions Imperialis unit cards. Shows some at least some enduring support for the game at least!

It says "available while stocks last" so anybody who wants them should get them fast. It could just be some that they found in the warehouse or a missing shipping container that turned up instead of a completely new shipment which would make it likely that there isn't a lot of stock

For anyone not aware, if you want something that's not ever going to be out of stock, is free and not going to go out of date take a look at the quite brilliant Legion Builder app

I used flashcards, a pencil, an eraser and a range ruler to make my own data cards. Much cheaper that way. You can also dodge printing errors in this manner. The N18 data cards were full of printing errors for the Goliath guys.

I'll wait until they stop with the drip feeding model of both rules and minis.

I want to buy into a whole game, not get strung along like a sucker.

My money is going elsewhere.

I just wanted to inform people who wanted to buy these cards (like myself)

This is how all Specialist games are done since forever? It's also not like 40k/AOS got every single mini available at launch of the new edition tbh

GW is simply spinning too many plates in the air to keep up with their dozens of game systems. People who are only dedicated to one system and/or noobs are left out in the cold. However hobbyists like me who still have a lot to paint for many other games are less affected. I could dedicate my time to half a dozen other projects until the stuff at last arrives for what I am currently waiting for.

And this would be the 30K Iron Hands dedicated helmets. Out of stock for months now so that my AoD box still hasn´t been built. Therefore I made a change of plan and wrote a vehicle list which doesn´t rely on those models.

I think GW is probably aware it's biting off more than it can chew, but are balancing it against wanting to be seen as the 'only game in town'. With official versions of Fantasy and Epic in-print they're keeping people who might otherwise start looking into alternative game systems (or old versions of the game) and derivative models continuing to spend their money with GW instead. Even if they can't hand over their money right now, most people are still going to wait for the 'official' kit.

A lot of Kings of War scenes pretty much shrivelled up and died as soon as TOW reared it's head, for instance. I knew people who were more than happy waiting the five or so years it took from announcement to release rather than trying any other rank/file game systems to tide them over, despite having been looking into them prior to the reveal.
