Hello all! I am a long time lurker who has been bouncing around ideas in my head to establish a Third Founding successor chapter of the Angels of Absolution called the "Spectres of Caliban."

The idea behind them is that a lot of chapters tend to have similar levels of specialization as the Orders of the Legion, probably most notable being the Consecrators who appear to be dedicated to the history of the Unforgiven and the Disciples of Caliban who are dedicated to hunting a certain Someone. The Spectres would kind of be a counterpart to the Consecrators, not dedicated to history but dedicated to memory, as in how the Unforgiven remembers themselves and their triumphs and tragedies.

Their goal is basically in addition to the normal Unforgiven stuff, they have spent their existence looking for all the old Legion Order archives where they dedicated their knowledge of how to kill certain enemies.

Now for the lore question. As they are dedicated to "memory" such that it means, is there any lore reason preventing them from claiming Gramayre? Especially since the Lion bulldozed the old fortress that was there and build a much humble one in its place?

Any thoughts or ideas would be useful! Both on the idea of a chapter dedicated to a concept like memory and what that means for a Legion obsessed with secrets as well as having g Gramayre as a homeworld.

To the best of my knowledge, Gramayre's status after the Heresy (or even during the Heresy proper) isn't really given, so you'd be free to do what you want with it.  It was already setup to continue to support First Legion operations as an industrial world after the HQ got moved to Caliban; no reason why it shouldn't still be doing so now.  I always thought it would be awesome to flesh out locations where the Unforgiven could produce things independent of the Ad Mech, and I could see Gramayre being a storehouse for not only old tech but also the means to produce it, home to factories that would have been relocated/replicated from Sol during the Great Crusade.
