I bought two of the Deathwing Assault boxes, and made 1 DWK Swords, 1 DWK Maces, 2x5 Terminators with 2 Cyclones (and the "6th" guy can be either a normal Terminator Sergeant or the first of the second five Deathwing (He has a power fist which isn't available to Deathwing Sergeants but is for Codex Sergeants).  They're also split on the fight weapons with 4 Chain Fists (half the Non-Sergeants) 4 Powerfists, + 1 Sgt Powerfist and 1 sergeant power sword.   The other 10 terminators got the same treatment only swapping Assault Canon for Cyclone.  If I end up with more dudes, or they improve the Plasma/Heavy Flamer enough to justify actively purchasing I'll make them too with the same treatment.

You know like intercessors…

I still haven't tried out Termies in 10th edition. While properly tough now, their shooting output is still a bit anaemic and I find other units fill their roles better. BGVs and Aggressors are my Terminator-adjacent units and I tend to field them for preference in situations where I might consider Terminators.

I like Terminators. I use mine alongside Lysander - I'm just really hoping they update his model soon.

I recently came up against Calgar and Aggressors. The Ultramarines are able to confer the deepstrike rule to a unit. I found the Calgar + Aggressor combination to be more dangerous and intimidating than my Terminators.

I think my greatest disappointment is the fact that the Spartan was relegated to Legends despite the fact that it is now widely available as a new, easy to put together, plastic kit. I would love deploy 10 Terminators alongside a character in a Spartan and drive them towards the enemy.

I feel GW really missed a trick here. The Spartan is, in my eyes, the best looking Astartes Tank. I have been involved in the Horus Heresy, and before that the Badab War. It was always a dream for the tank to be available in plastic. When they finally delivered one, they all but removed it from the 40k game.

Generally how are people liking to arm their terminators?

I don't.

(and its a shame because I have one very nice kit-bashed terminator marshal, and a terminator chaplain, both with some good BT bling, with the marshal using the same backpack rack that is on my Marshall in regular armor that is my icon on the top left)

Personally they need some point adjustments given their mediocrity, before I want to use them. I do believe this will change when they release a new assault terminator kit. Those will get used very often I bet? I'm not a big competitive player, and I play with a small circle of good friends, but every time I seriously considered adding terminators to my list, I found something else that I wanted to add instead.

If I used a squad tomorrow I'd probably go with a missile launcher, and thats it. Maybe one chainfist? idk?

Its the "Lieutenant".  Aggressors have the "Apothecary" Biologis which acts like a Lieutenant with Lethal Hits which gets to piggyback on the Sustained Hits, Crits on a 5+ - that doubles your "extra" hits meaning (in theory/over time/on average) every 5+ not only gives you an extra Sustained Hit for every 2 or less you roll, but you also get a Lethal Hits for every 5+ two bonus hits per miss.  If you math it out, those few places you can still get a Terminator Lieutenant (Basically Space Wolves now with their Wolf Guard Battle Leader in Terminator Armor) you can get Terminators that equal or surpass the Aggressors.  6 Aggressors are 36ish shots that will turn into I think 48ish hits because of the bonus.  10 Terminators with two cyclones in Rapid Fire get 32+14ish for 46ish shots, and 58ish hits. IF they get Lethal Hits.  I really don't understand why they didn't add a generic Terminator Lieutenant, let alone squat the bespoke ones, at the same time they were rolling out the Terminator Revival edition.

To me, the biggest hit terminators got was the loss of the Strikemaster in the Dark Angels. He was the guy making standard terminators useful. I dont even know what to use the model for anymore although DA have been on the back burner for me since I got burned out painting them for the last big painting challenge on here. I might still field one ten man squad with a libby in terminator armor and some kind of enhancement that improves shooting. A shooty deep strike force still has its uses.

can power fists from tacticus kits fit on the new terminators without looking weird?

I'd say no - termiantor arms are much thicker than power armour, they'd have really weedy upper arms.

That's the Lieutenant with the Lethal Hits.

I run mine with the assault cannon, joined by a librarian. I know that both of those are supposedly mediocre picks, but for me they always seem to do the business.

The assault cannon with sustained hits always seems to be good for a mortal wound or 2, and it synergizes well with the Librarian's Smite too.

I brought them to an RTT yesterday and while they weren't really a major player, they did what I needed them to: bully weaker units with impunity, and be nigh-impervious to incidental fire.

Edit: the assault cannon managed to plink the last couple wounds off of a Dreadknight and a Lord Invocatus. It also did it's part against the Lord of Skulls.

I do 10, with two missile launchers and lead by a chaplain. They drop down, hit something with shooting, then start tearing it up in cc.

The big benefit is the 3 wounds and 2+ save. If you degrade high ap shooting before you drop them in, they become a very hard to shift hammer.
