I love a bit of Gaunt literature Prison Cell/Brig Here's my Space Hulk Prison/Brig entrance. To differentiate from the rest of the hulk, I painted the walls in a Space Wolves like colour scheme. This shows a plan view from the front. As usual, I painted hazard stripes around and above the doorway. This shows the 2 cell doors in a locked position .... ........... and with the sliding doors opened. I'm juggling lots of painting projects at the moment and have put the Necron Hulk to the back burner as I'm not happy getting the glowing green light effects in the resin printed walls and I also think I will have to use my mothballed airbrush to give the orbs a glowing look. I have painted a large number of piles of corpses and tortured prisoners and have printed off a lot of Nightlord-esque pieces to convert a room into a torture/pleasure chamber. I just need to print off some new resin walls, pillars and pillar caps to really get the project started. Till next time  Domhnall, Wolf Lord Duregar, Gnasher and 6 others 7 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382673-alternative-space-hulk-interiors/page/2/#findComment-6043858 Share on other sites
Firedrake Cordova
The brig looks great For the light effects, could you do it with careful drybrushing from the light, out? Mithril Thanks Mithrilforge Update time Here's my Necron Space Hulk corridor. Plan... Right Side ..... Right Side Plan ... Left Side ... Left Side Plan ... and finally with the door open. I used multiple coats of white ink and then about 6 coats of GSW Green Fluroscent to get the glow. It's taken ages to complete this. I'm torn between spraying the whole thing with Satin Varnish to make it shine. What do you think? I have also made a lot of progress on a Night Lord Room but I need lots more corpses and chopped up bits to cover the floor - unfortunately, the room I use to 3D print is too cold at the moment, so I'll have to put it on the backburner for a few weeks. Here's a WIP shot: I have also bought an Ork and Tyranid Space Hulk STL's and will start printing off when the weather gets warmer. Any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Regards, Phil. Brother Morgan
Quick update: I've used lots of bodies/corpses/bits of bodies from various STL's I have. I blocked up the Brig windows by attaching Night Lord Rhino hatches I found on Cults 3D, so no one outside could see/hear what was going on in this Night Lord playroom. Lots of dried blood will be sprayed around the room, after I have printed and painted multiple copies of the mound of body parts you can see in the left hand corner. I added Night Lord tokens I found on Cults 3D to every pillar top, just to confirm who this ship belongs to. To give a bit more strength to the structure, I glued everything down to a piece of diamond cut plasticard to imitate a ship floor. This allows easier placing of mounds of body parts. As can be seen though, there is a lot of empty floor space and each of the body parts pile in the top left hand corner fills my Mars 2 Pro build plate. It's going to take numerous prints to cover most of the floor Feel free to ask anything. What do you think? Paint up a bit of plasticard and try it on that first? Having the stone as glossy obsidian would be an interesting contrast to the green glowy bits. Bouargh
Always beautiful. If one can say that about a Night Lords slaughter house/torture chamber. Maybe more splashes of blood could be required to increase the gory side of the chamber (but not too much to avoid being otT...) Brother Tyler
I don't know how this topic escaped my notice before today. I love the work you've done - it's always great to see thematic scenery. And anything to do with Space Hulk (or Zone Mortalis) has my attention.
