Heresy Mk6 Bolter arms cross-compatibility?

Hi,

 

I'm thinking about building a small boarding patrol/ZM force of Blackshields for stuff n giggles - has anyone tried or checked if the bolter arms fit on the assault bodies?  Would be nice to throw some up-armoured, more dynamic poses in there.

what about cutting them at the wrist?

I think you could fit the arms onto the other bodies to hold them in the normal way, but you couldn’t really have any marines holding a bolter in one hand or anything - the main problem would be that the second hand is moulded onto the gun:
