D99 Elysian Drop Troops

Hi all, one has recently finished my infantry for my D99 Elysian drop troops project.

I had to paint 60 of them so they didnt get the most "in detail" attention.

I tried my best to get the best results without having to spend an obscene amount of time on them. 

I also attempted to copy the scheme from the artwork as much as possible with what paints I had. 

I am however very happy with the results.

Hopefully we will be painting some sentinels next.

did the drop troops come before halo's odsts?

I can't remember when they were released, but they appear in the 2005 Forgeworld catalogue (specifically, via a paper insert - yes, I still have my old catalogues ).

The internet tells me Halo 3 ODST came out in 2009, so unless there was some earlier Halo with ODST, the FW Elesians seem to have been first.

Yup, they're mentioned (and shown) in the Fall of Reach novel, so they predate Elysians by 4 years in literature, and a year with their visual design.
