Didn't forget. Just haven't got there yet in my posts of remembrance. We even had a contest to create your own B&C Marine!!

Not only that, but a member by the name of Bushido once entered a squad entry at Golden Demon and it was Legio B&C. Need to see if I can find photos of that. 2003 I think that was.

I just want to say thank you for all you have done for us, Kurgan. I think it’s going on 17 years I’ve been a member of B&C and it’s kept me going in this beautiful hobby and community, through both good and bad times. You’ve helped build up a great community and you’ve had an amazing moderation team over the years that has made this journey not only possible but also enjoyable.

Here’s to another 25 years, brothers and sisters!

A bit late to the party I know.

Congrats to everyone working behind the scenes, and all those in front as well.

May the site continue on for another 25 years!

I wish I joined earlier to be honest, wasted a lot of time lurking.

The Bolter and Chainsword has been the source of some of my fondest memories, not only in the hobby but in life. From arguing with AD-B about Black Legion lore (which he was correct about, of course) to forming true friendships with @Soldier of Dorn, to publishing a 30k visual novel, I remain proud of my posts here and the influence it has had on my life. I now pay it forward in my local narrative 40k group in Columbus Ohio, which I have marshaled in the spirit of this place and currently numbers over 200 active participants.

I can't make this post without mentioning @Hyaenidae. Some of you know him as Heathens. No single hobbyist has influenced my view of the setting more. You might not see much of his style reflected in my painting, but when I imagine the battlefields and characters of Warhammer, I do so through the lens he gave us. From Catholic Iron Warriors attempting to nuke the Primarchs out of existence to a member of the VI Legion driven to exile by his own gene seed, Hyaenidae saw the potential and tragedy of Warhammer in a way few do. Wherever he is, I wish him the best. I hope he knows that this son of Dorn will always admire him, dog of the IVth he may be.

Wow I can't believe it's been that long!

I think I've been here for about 20 years now, possibly the 1st forum I signed up to. Had a few instances of being 'moderated' in the early days but it was almost certainly my fault! (Sorry!:oops:)

That this forum is still going strong when many others have fallen along the years, shows the dedication of the people that keep it running. I'll say it probably has the best UI and ease of use of all that I know of, and with the extremely enthusiastic and dedicated community is very well positioned to keep going for a further 25 years!

I didnt know about the mention in the Salamanders books, thats awesome

Given how easy it is for so many forums, whatsapp groups etc to become a mess, or to even lose interest in a passion project, kudos to all involved

I didn't find B&C until 2009.

Some person of questionable decision making made me a mod for the Chaos forum for a while too (you crazy, crazy people).

Have to admit the whole [ =][= REDACTED =][= ] situation with [ =][= REDACTED =][= ] was insane. Especially when [ =][= REDACTED =][= ]  went and [ =][= REDACTED =][= ] :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Great times indeed.

Happy 25th B&C.

Now Where's the Space Wolves? They always have the best Mjød. Perfect for times like these.

It's been one hell of a fun ride. Can't wait for the next 25.

Yeah!! We had a whole thread dedicated to B&C tattoos at one point. Not sure that is still available in the archives or not.

Some folks had license plates on their cars.

Some crazy fool  :whistling:even got his PC done up B&C style:

Congratulations! Stay relevant.

Still much prefer actual forums over the Discord style discussions. Glad some places like this are still around where you can actually start and talk about a topic without it disappearing..

I love this place, it's the best forum I've ever visited, and the only one where joining felt like a genuine privilege.

Here's to the B&C, and all the many people who've made it such a great place over the years.

Talked to BloodSaint today. He may pop in and post some stuff.

We used to do Holiday and themed skins (two are from April Fools):

Can anyone throw up some memories @Kurgan the Lurker?

That's the OG logo I used for a challenge coin project way, way back.

I think I gave one prototype to @Brother Argos and I kept the other one. Surely one of the rarest pieces of B&C merch.

Speaking of the mods. This is 98% of everyone that has modded, admin'd or otherwise assisted this board as a community manager/lead in some capacity. There are some from the EZBoard days that didn't transfer over from EZBoard and some others from other groups that were, at the time, a test bed for "mods in training". Those groups simply haven't survived as a group and as such those members aren't shown here. I do apologize for that. Your contributions are always appreciated.

Life, family, interested in the game all eventually pull people away. Or, sadly in the case of Sword Brother Jeremakus, death claims us far far too early :(

A huge thank you to these noble souls.  A group that I can only aspire to perhaps join one day if needed or at the very least emulate.  They have made this forum the home that it is.
