***********

By the time that Heresy commenced, and Horus cast his treacherous blow against the Emperor, the Night Lords had already turned towards a darker path.

Their Progenitor, Konrad Curze, had already been censured for the unneccessarily cruel and bloodthirsty behaviour of the Legion, and expeditions of the Great Crusade containing the 8th Legion were ordered to bring their operations in line with the more 'civilised' Legions that fought alongside them.

One such Expedition, the 3264th, operating far in the Galactic East against wayward offshoots of humanity, was the 7th Chapter - 19th Claw, known as The Shadow's Hunger.

Even before the monumental events of Istvaan were to take place, the Legion had stopped responding to orders sent by the Adeptus Terra. Instructions and then threats from an accompanying Death Guard contingent had also been ignored, and 19th Claw instead busied itself recruiting auxiliaries, as well as a fresh marine intake of those deemed sufficiently vicious, from the recently conquered prison-world of Brannick's Place...

The units of Auxiliaries were identified by their orange jumpsuits. 19th Claw set about fortifying the prison world, using the human troopers for labour in the task. When conflict with the Death Guard eventually erupted, the lives of the Auxiliaries were spent carelessly, used as cannon fodder while their Legionnaire masters attacked from the flanks, deploying via Dreadclaw drop pod and Thunderhawk.

Led by the tyrannical Captain Fal Kata, who had risen in rank and prominance following the unfortunate 'accidents' of several of his superiors, 19th Claw carried out a series of devastating raids on the Death Guard garrison world of Chalmoseum IX. The Night Lord's heavy armour, recently restocked by a nearby Forgeworld, was deployed to devastating effect against the unsuspecting defenders.

The Claw's most fearsome unit was their 1st Company 'Misery's gift', comprised entirely of Legion Veterans in freshly forged Indomnitus Terminator Armour. Where once the skulls and skins of the alien decorated their armour, now those of the Death Guard and their accompanying Auxilia took their place.

19th Claw was also accompanied by a Warhound Titan of the Legion Metallica (The 'Iron Skulls'), recently transferred from warfare alongside the World Eaters, and the Princeps of whom was somehow persuaded to take part in the Night Lord's endeavours.

This is my 2000pts Legions Imperialis/Epic Traitor army, and thanks for reading this far! The army is mostly comprised of standard Legions Imperialis miniatures, with a few exceptions - some of the additional character pieces, terminators and aircraft were from Vanguard Miniatures (which helped with giving a more 'evil' look to the force) while the Dreadclaw drop pods, which again have a more sinister look than the standard model, were sourced from a 3D printed design.

Now ready to disgrace myself on the battlefield with them, any C&C or questions about them please feel free to ask!

Thank you guys!

@Firedrake Cordova - it was printed minis that I have had in my collection for about 2 years and finally got an opportunity to use! I believe it is meant to be similar to the official ones, but not had them side by side.
