Dr_Ruminahui
What is The Call to Arms, I hear you ask? The Call to Arms is a new multi-forum event designed to encourage us all to start a new army, or bolster our current armies. The Forums of the B&C are divided up into four Strongholds; Imperium, Chaos, Xenos, and Heresy. For the next three months the 4 Forums of the Chaos Stronghold will be competing to claim Victory over the other Chaos Forums, with all four Strongholds being compared at the conclusion of the Event. There are two categories for Victory in both the Forums and Strongholds, the Forum/Stronghold who has painted the most points worth of models, and the Forum/Stronghold with the highest % of completion (Participants vs Completions). Full Rules and Place your Vow => The Chaos Stronghold Start Date: 15th June End Date: 17th September How do I join in? Models for The Call to Arms have been allocated a point value based around their size, the time they take to paint, and the amount of effort generally taken to paint them, this is why some models of different sizes appear in the same categories, and why Characters are worth more. The below list should cover every model for the Heretics; 1pt Power Armoured Marines, Terminators, Cultists, Traitor Guard, Poxwalkers, Tzaangors 2pts Bikers, Tzaangor Enlightened, Juggernaughts, Obliterators, Spawn 3pts Blight Hauler, Helbrute, Venomcrawler, Decimator 4pts Bloat Drone, Plagueburst Crawler, War Dog Knights 5pts Rhino Chassis tanks, Sicaran Chassis tanks, Forge/Maulerfiend 6pts Land Raider, Spartan, Heldrake, Defiler 8pts Glaive, Fellblade, Falchion, Fire Raptor, Storm Eagle 10pts Lord of Skulls, Kytan Daemon Engine, Despoiler, Rampager, Abominant, Tyrant and Cerastus Knights 5pts Leader and Unit Composition: 1 OR Epic Hero, Warpsmiths, Dark Apostles, Sorcerers, Lords, Daemon Princes 10pts Abaddon, Lord Discordant, Bloodthirsters, GUO, Keeper of Secrets, Lord of Change, Angron, Mortarion, Magnus 20pts Arcastus Knights, Warhound Titan, Thunderhawk 30pts Reaver Titan 40pts Warbringer Titan 50pts Warlord Titan, Stormbird Terrain 1pt 3 Munitorum Barrels, 4 Munitorum Crates, Zone Morialtis/Gallowdark Column, Octarius Ramshackle Bridges 2pts Aegis Defence Line Section, Aegis Defence Platform, Galvanic Servo-haulers, Thermic Plasma Conduit Section, Imperialis Ruins Wall Section, Zone Morialtis/Gallowdark Wall, Octarius Scrap Heap/Barricade 3pts Fronteris Vox Antenna, Fronteris Auspex Shrine, Thermo-exchanger Shrine, Octarius Oil Rig, Necromunda Fuel Tanks 4pts Munitorum Container, Mechsnicus Transterrsnic Gantry, Galvanic Servo-crane, Big'ead Bossbunka, Skull Alter, Noctilith Crown, Octarius Ramshackle Walls 5pts Tidewall Droneport, Tidewall Shieldline, Feculant Gnarlmaw, Miasmic Malignifier 6pts Fronteris Landing Pad, Mechanicus Forgeshine, Mechanicus Galvanic Magnavent 8pts Fronteris Hab Bunker, Manufactorum Administratus, 10pts Zone Morialtis Gang Stronghold Note: Custom/Scratchbuilt terrain- use this list as a guide as to how many points tour terrain is worth, but please make sure to mention your terrain is custom when Vowing. All points are per model. For example if you pledge 20 Death Guard (1ptx20), 3 Obliterators (2ptsx3), a Bloat Drone (4pts), and a Terminator Lord (5pts), your vow would be worth 35pts If you have any questions or queries, or there's a model you want to paint but isn't listed, just @Grotsmasha and I'll be more than happy to help you out. Please feel free use this thread as a place to share your thoughts, ideas, and WIPs throughout the Event to motivate and inspire the Sororitas, and the Imperium to Victory!!! Cpt.Danjou
As I am not a fan of the Traitor guard box, I am thinking of assembling an Ash Waste Nomads squad and use them as Traitor Guard instead. Where supposed to be cultists, but now when they lost their autoguns I decided that they will be traitor guard instead when playing. No one plays Necromunda here, and I always wanted to paint a squad of them. Is that ok for Call to Arms? And a question is there any mention if/how Iron Warriors have any specific colour on their cultists/traitor guard/slaves uniforms? I even can'tremember what the regiments loyal to Iron Warriors during the Horus Heresy was named. Cpt.Danjou? Dr_Ruminahui
Yes, those are fine on two counts: a) if you are modelling them and painting them as chaos cultists, they are chaos for CtA purposes. So, for example, my genestealer cultists that I very minimally converted and painted for my chaos army would be fine as chaos units for CtA. b) and even if a) was not true, anybody can paint any necromunda models however they like and pledge them to whatever faction they want - they are wildcards that way, just like terrain is. Hope that helps and really looking forward to seeing yours in the event! As for what to name them, sorry but nothing comes to mind for me. Another place for naming inspiration (like for most things Iron Warrior) is the old Storm of Iron book if you can get a hold of it - its not bad and it did have human cannonfodder units, though I don't recall if they had any particular name(s). Did some looking around and the Selucid Thorakites were raised from Olympia and worked with the Iron Warriors during the Great Crusade/Heresy. Granted those are full on Solar Auxilia and not just cultists but could be an interesting place to start. Muskie
I will be in. I'll probably pledge less, but I'm tempted to do a tank. It may be over twenty years since I've painted a tank. Uprising
Looking at my newly printed R&H army and I did just buy an used CSM army ($100ish for 95 CSM mini), I could be in. Been in the mood for painting a Word Bearers force or add to my Black Legion lately (could vow for chaos or HH).
