Can you ally demons?

Hey all :-)

As per the title, can you ally demons in the normal sense?

From reading through the PDF’s, it seems like the answer is “no” but I am unsure if that is something from last edition that no longer stands or whatever (kinda like the mentions of a demonic incursion or whatever it is called that doesn’t seem to have any rules that I could find).

i know you can summon them with Legion Esoterists, but just wanted to check if the normal way works or not :-)

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a really dumb question!

An army that includes a Primary Detachment drawn from the
Ruinstorm Daemons Army List cannot include any Optional
Detachments except for Lords of War Detachments drawn
from the Ruinstorm Daemons Army List. An army that includes
a Primary Detachment that does not use the Ruinstorm
Daemons Army List cannot include an optional Detachment
(including Allied or Lords of War Detachments) drawn from the
Ruinstorm Daemons Army List.
Note: Ruinstorm Daemons can still be included in a Primary
Detachment drawn from another Army List through the use of
certain units or special rules, such as the Legion Esoterist.

From the Ruinstorm Daemons pdf, at your leisure.

Cool cool :-)

I saw that but wasn’t sure if it was just a copy / paste from 1.0 that had since been FAQ’ed or something.

While I am here then, any ideas what a “Ruinstorm Incursion” is (sorry, not “demonic” as I stated before)?

It appears in the last sentence of Ka'bandha‘s demonic wings on his fancy individual data sheet and says “Any models with Daemonic Wings deployed as part of a Ruinstorm Incursion may activate their Daemonic Wings in the Movement Phase of the turn in which they enter play..”

I can’t seem to find any other mentions of it anywhere else in the demon PDF’s.

Again, very possible I might just be a dumbass but I really appreciate the help regardless :-)

The pdf you're refering to, has since been outdated and is no longer valid.

Rules for Ka'Bandha Unbound are in the Ruinstorm Daemons pdf.

Ruinstorm Daemons can not be allied. See post above.

Rules for Ka'Bandha Bound can be found in the 'The Burning of Ohmn-Mat' pdf.

This version of Ka'Bandha can be used as a LoW choice for other (traitor) armies, but must still adhere to the rules and deployment limitations for Bound Daemons.

These rules are detailed in the pdf as well.

Bound Daemons can be used as allies. Again, with certain limitations as to their deployment.

This version of Ka'Bandha can also be the armies warlord, he's got a unique rule which overrides the requirement that the warlord has to be selected from the primary detachment.

There.

Can I get a beer ?

Ah awesome! Thank you :-)

I had not read the “The Burning of Ohmn-Mat” PDF and had no idea what Bound demons were :-P I had seen them as an option in BattleScribe, but it doesn’t list any units for them there so I figured that they were just something from 1.0 that no longer existed :-P

I appreciate the help :-)
