It was in the old (white) flip-top range, but they brought it back as a Contrast paint. jaxom
Yep, and it basically is a one-coat-and-done for leather. Xenith 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382916-15-starter-paints/page/2/#findComment-6041816 Share on other sites
Bung
I wonder why noone mentions Incubii Darkness, its a great color for mixing shadows in reds. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/382916-15-starter-paints/page/2/#findComment-6042697 Share on other sites
StratoKhan
Surprised that Rhinox Hide isn’t mentioned - good for dark leather, base skin tone, rust/chipping… I am just constantly using it. Dr. Clock
Begging pardon for threadcromancy... I just loved this topic, and responses so far. I use mostly GW and Vallejo, so this is my 'top 15' based on ~frequency (nature of use): Grey Seer (priming - Wraithbone is also fine, but I can never find it) Incubi Darkness (first basecoat pass on most models to divide major light/dark areas) Rhinox Hide (essentially my basing colour, so mandatory include) Leadbelcher (metallics) Pallid wych flesh (highlight city) Ulthuan Grey (same) Nuln Oil (obvs) Agrax Earthshade (also obvs) Wyldwood (1-shot dark leather) Basilicanum Grey (universal shading grey) Fleshtearers Red (Storm Lords! AdMech!) Evil Sunz Scarlet (highlight for above) Iyanden Yellow (my Ulthwé thank you! Also Kyn!) Yriel Yellow (likewise) Darkoath Flesh (I sprinkle multiple flesh/skin tones across any given unit, so fyreslayer is tied in this spot and wyldwood also steps in here As you can see, blues and greens come from Vallejo for me mostly, and there are other colours like orange and purple where I use GW paints but just not nearly as frequently as other hues. Cheers, The Good Doctor.
