I love these models, they all look great. Really appealing product release. Those Spryers are amazing, the Van Saar look solid (I'd use them instead of standard for Necromunda personally) but for me... those Genestealers :jawdrop:

What is the nature of this box then? The article says it is a game in itself. Does that mean it's limited to the factions in the box? Are there new rules for all gangs instead?

The box is a stand-alone game but they show in another pic a hardback Hive Secondus rulebook. That rulebook is probably a companion to the main 2023 rulebook that includes new mssions, campaign rules, and other various bits/bobs for playing in Secondus. It will definitely not include new gang rules for all gangs just the Van Saar, otherwise GW wouldn't be able to make another two-five books for the other gangs.

I'll be picking this box up, as those genestealers look amazing, and the Tek Hunters look fantastic, very much inspired by Kill Team.  I can definitely foresee GW making the other gangs as Tek Hunters (or similar nomenclature) in time, though I do wonder if they'll have House-specific rules, or have a generic 'gang' list in the book, with various archetypes and possibly some House-specific additions to future-proof themselves.

Unfortunately we don't know the full contents of the box yet, but with what was revealed it looks like the Secondus box is more of a self-contained game within the overall Necromunda landscape, not a new core set for playing Necromunda. While the models/terrain will be able to be used for the main game, the box itself seems to have rules that are for a specific dungeon-crawl style adventure. There will be hardback rulebook coming out that will include the rules for the Spyrers/Malstrains to be used in regular Necromunda, but this box does not include it.

What you need to get started in Necromunda right now is-

Necromunda main rule book, 2023 version (link)

Your specific House of .... or Book of .... for whichever gang you want to run:

House gangs - Escher (House of Blades), Goliath (House of Chains), Orlock (House of Iron), Delaque (House of Shadows), Cawdor (House of Faith), Van Saar (House of Artifice)

Other gangs - Venators (Book of Peril), Corpse Grinder/Chaos Cult/Genestealer Cult (Book of Ruin), Enforcers (Book of Judgement), Ash Waste Nomads/Ironhead Prospectors (Book of the Outlands), Outcasts (Book of the Outcast)

Picke mine up from the parcel shop today. It looks neat and from what I can tell the rulebook is "complete" (to the degree that such a word makes any sense in Newcromunda  ), except for the ash wastes-specific stuff. The models also look good and I'm quite interested in at least scavenging ideas from the campaign stuff.
I also got a set of the ruined zone mortalis stuff and I must say it looks much better in person - if I get time off from my CTA vow one of these days I'll combine it with some of my leftover zone mortalis terrain and post some pics

Played the first couple of games of the new campaign, cursed with my usual bad luck. Game one my medical guy was killed, and without him the rest of the gang followed soon after as there’s no Doc to visit. It’s definitely an Iron Man mode, but I’m looking forward to making another attempt.
