Hey all, I'm prepping for the Artificer Polls, can I request you all post some pics of individual models/units, the ones you're most proud of. We need some great, close up detail pics so that the can compete against the other Strongholds, and the Army shots won't do that.

@GrotsmashaI don’t think any of these will be serious contenders for the artificer award, but here are all the close-ups in one place.

If those hazard stripes are freehand they deserve an award!

Freehand is an inefficient use of 4th legion time. ;)

3d print with the lines sculpted on, it's the only way I can get decent stripes

Can't help much with "great, close-up detail pics", nevertheless, here are some additional pics of my favourite models:

- Champion, still nameless as of yet:

- Executioner Sardonis, who would look much better if I added some lightnings here and there...

sardonis.thumb.jpg.23068e265fe928cfff742ceaa5c53828.jpg

-  Sergeant Llywarch. Overall, I think it's my favourite model from the vow. He looks oddly noble, elegant even in comparison to his brethren:

20240926_202603.thumb.jpg.43337992949acdcede608d01e3ec20d4.jpg

- the most spiky and bloodstained of my Nostraman Predators which also doubles up as a Rhino convertible:

and finally some more presentable members of Seeker and Terror squads.

I love this thread. I think that scanner on the seeker deserves an award, @Lautrec the Embraced. Isn’t there some conversion award too? I love @Dwango’s slaughterpriest, I will copy that one day!

Alas I am away from my minatures right now but did add some extra shots in spoiler tags that hopefully work.

Apologies, I've only just seen your request @Grotsmasha! I've got this picture of my Castellan; unfortunately I can't get any other pics at the time being, I'm a bit out of action following knee surgery this week.

some close ups. Pretty fond of applying aircraft decals to my minis to add that extra detail. (Thought they make no sense)

for the vets I was keen to show them telling a story, hunting loyalists on isstvan. One of them has the city display and the other communicating with command. Parts are from the vehicle sprue.

Just checking in, has any stronghold been declared a winner for any category?

It's going to be a while, we have several rounds of Artificer Voting to go, however, all the Strongholds are updated to the close of the event.

Although there were no 30K entrants this year, I thought I would share this there for (in particular) the 30K chaos painters.

The poll for my officially unoffical Call to Arms related side event of Psycheriest Psycher is now up for voting in the Hereticus Astartes Forum:

So, everybody go vote for one of the many excellent entries!

Decided to put it in the Hereticus Astartes forum with announcements in the various other chaos forums, as that's probably the most centralized place to get the votes of chaos posters, including those who don't frequent the more generalized WIP and Honour forums.  Non chaos voters are of course also welcome.

I have made an error, and accidentally omitted an entry from the Poll.

This has now been corrected, and the missing entry added, if you have already voted and wish to change your vote,

Call to Arms 2024 Heresy Stronghold Summary

First of all, thankyou to the newcomers and returning members who participated in the 2024 Call to Arms, whether or not you completed your Vows, you have all made the event the success it has been. Between the four Strongholds, we all painted 2,300+ MODELS, which is an OUTSTANDING result by any metric.

So, how did the Heresy Forum and Stronghold perform throughout the Event?

Clearly, allowing the Heresy Forum it's own Stronghold was the correct choice, the Legionaires of the Emperor and Warmaster came to play, and have shown no mercy, and have set a new bar for next year's Call to Arms.

The Emperor - Participants vs Completed: 7/8, Pledged: 886pts vs Completed:  764pts  -  86.3% Completion

The Legions of the Emperor have made their first Call to Arms a show of arms, vowing big, and completing big. Special mention to @SgtSharp, who contributed HALF of the Completed points to the Emperor's Forces. This oustanding showing from the Loyalists has earnt them the Champions of the Horde badge for their signatures.

large.ChampionsoftheHordeLoyalists.png.1

The Warmaster - Participants vs Completed: 5/6, Pledged: 487pts vs Completed:  435pts  -  89.3% Completion

If we remove Sgt.Sharpe's mega-vows, the Legions of the Warmaster were VERY competitive with their Loyalist brothers, matching them almost point for point, with two less Participants. The Traitors did however, secure a higher Completion Rate, earning them the Champions of the Call Badge for their signatures.

large.ChampionsoftheHordeTraitors.png.46

As with most Events, there are of course Badges for Individual Achievments within the Stronghold,

Starting with those who did not Complete their Vows, the Servitor Badge, these Participants are honour-bound to bear this Badge until years end.

@SgtSharp

Congratultions to @SgtSharp for Completing 386pts worth of models, which was the most points in the Heresy Stronghold, and claiming the title of Heresy Champion.

large.StrongholdChampion.png.e163fe36bff

The Moderators and Administratum were faced with the very difficult task of selecting three Artificers from each Stronghold, just three entries each from the many, many excellent models submitted within each Stronghold for the Call to Arms. These three Artificers faced off against one another in a Public Poll to claim the Stronghold Artifcer Badge, and then face the Stronghold Artificers of the other Srtongholds for a shot at the Master Artificer Badge.

Congratulations to @TheArtilleryman@Lautrec the Embraced, and @richmarine for their fantastic entries, earning themselves the Artificer Badge.
