@Grotsmasha Two quick questions if I may. First is if I paint Helbrecht with his ornamental base will that require basing on my other vows since I plan on doing those later? Second is are unorthodox squads allowed or single models, like individual unit leaders I hadn't painted yet, it seemed like it from the rules but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the clarification in advance! Glory to you and your fellows!

Basing - No. If you do Helbretch's base, you aren't required to then do all the bases in the vow (any basses not done should still be tidied to black still).

Models - Single models are fine

Well, there's not much left to say other than it's done. 10 armiger, 2 quistoris, 2 dominus, a cerastus knight and a landing pad.

 

The Knights as completed, it's surprisingly hard to get a full group shot, but it's probably better this way, low resolution hides a multitude of sins 3 printing played a huge role in this pledge. Knee and torso extensions for the Domini, a torso extension and a custom head for the quistoris, and then there's the Armigers. I can honestly say at this point, I prefer the 3d print STL to the plastic just for ease of assembly, and because I kept breaking things and having to reprint them.

 

The skyshield landing pad was pretty straightforward, originally sprayed in silver, I layered dark washes and different metallics till I got a surface I liked. I tried to keep the walls moveable, but it's more trouble than it's worth really (I've had to re-glue things so many times...)  if I have one disappointment it's that my shelves are too short to display it with a flyer on top, ironically the only shelf that I could do that on is dedicated to the knights

Assembly line continues. All reds are done on Terminator models, all blacks done on ICC (doing blacks first on them since I use liquid mask on the smaller portions)

 

Tomorrow will finish up reds on the ICC, then move onto detailing for the first DW termie squad.

First 6 models of the vow done, good progress on the rest. After travel, I'm thinking I'll finish ~6 every 3 days (batching as 5x termies + librarkan and LT, 5x termies + apothecary, 6x ICC). Not super happy how the tabards turned out from a texturing and weathering standpoint unfortunately.
