Actually, my math is off; I was counting all staff (2,700). If it's only the staff at headquarters it's about £12,000 per head.

Last time during Covid it was all Staff, my local in Oz confirmed they got it.

Hopefully all staff get this - I'm sure anyone on any of the lower-paid roles would really appreciate it in the current climate!

Another year, another growth to the group profit share; it should work out as approximately £6,000 per head, not including the Christmas bonus to drop later in the year.

They won't get that much. When I worked there (up until summer last year) every single staff member working for GW regardless of locale got a bonus of £2500. Only folk who didn't get it are those not meeting targets, on any formal coaching plans or store relief staff.

We'd get them twice a year generally in December and in June.

Good that GW is sharing that success. I know my local GW store has an excellent manager running it and he deserves a bonus. Good for the hobby too if GW is doing well. More chance of more plastic space marine stuff for HH

Yeah this about the best thing they could've done.  I'd prefer a general cost of living wage increase for the employees but this is nice in the meantime.

I think the bonuses are more manageable because they can vary depending on economy, but using a bonus allows each bonus to be tailored to current economic conditions and company performance.

Sure. But GW retains crazy profits and they should be paying their people more; it's a constant refrain from people on this board who used to work for the company that compensation was lacking.

They can give smaller bonuses as well as paying a more livable wage. They are not mutually exclusive.

The entire UK job market underpays, it’s not just GW. The underpaying is even more criminal in tech with department heads making around 100K GBP.

Ain't that the truth. Being a doctor with a monopsony employer really does make things tricky!
Either way, this is a nice gesture from GW.

While I am glad people are getting a nice bonus, this certainly makes their “times are tough” price increase a bit harder to swallow.  :(

To be fair this is partly the issue with making something to sell compared to just offering a service. The bonuses are due to having done better than anticipated but the prices for things now more accurately reflect how you think the new stuff will sell, as that's what you're having to spend money right now to make.

Plus far better to give this ~3% of revenue back to the workers making and selling the stuff than the shareholders. As that's really where it would have gone otherwise rather than knocking down the price of kits by 3%. Can't see that much of an enormous fanfare happening from kits coming down a £/$ or so each.

They've had several pay rises in the last few years, yes. They even have one coming up this year lol.

As one would expect.

I know GW don't pay that well, but its hilarious how some people make it out like they don't even have pay reviews and inflation based increases.
