Thanks for the feedback! I’ve been making use of models I like, winning some and losing others. Havocs, I keep in reserve and pop them out 2nd turn for a good firing lane. Warp talons I no longer run in large numbers, and daemon prince I’ve learned to rapid ingress…as others have suggested. Adapting successfully. I still don’t play competitively but the goal is fun.

In my case, I've been playing since 3rd Edition, mostly with Blood Angels and Chaos Marines. I've had editions with good rules and editions with terrible rules (or no codex at all). I know it sounds strange, but in my gaming group, we're sticking with 7th Edition, but with in-house rules, like not using formations and only playing missions with tactical objectives. We recently started with 10th Edition, and what's worked out really well for us is playing with the Crusade rules. In general, we're a group that doesn't tend to play super competitively. There are several of us who just play with the units we like and try to make them work, adding background and stories. Therefore, we don't mind the constant changes or adjustments to rules and costs; we don't really give it much thought.
