Prot
So I'm going to put this here so I can fully wrap my head around today's version of Mortal/Dev wounds. The history of this rule is baffling, and confusing, so let's just talk about what these rules mean 'today'. (June 21/2024). Maybe next week they'll be different so for the sake of argument let's talk about today. Here is the short version from the most recent FAQ: So all of these are Mortal Wounds now. Whether they come from Hazardous or Devastating sources. Because they are all Mortal Wounds now, this helps units with Watchers in the dark, because regardless of source, you will get a 4+ FnP against them (once per game via the Watcher rules.) Does this sound right? Am I missing something? jaxom
That's correct. Hazardous and Devastating produce Mortal Wounds, which can be saved against with abilities like the Watcher's or a Terminator Chaplain's Recitation of Faith, but any unsaved damage does not spill over into the rest of the unit (unlike other sources of Mortal Wounds).
