Well as its been a month since I've vowed I figure I best get rolling and actually do some WiP. So here's where we're currently at!

 

thats 62 marines, 10 termies,  and 2 land raiders! 

 

Not in the shot is the WE kharibdys thats been primed white.

 

hopefully ill be getting the silver/grey done using an airbrush over the weekend

Well it's taken until now to get the base coat down, unfortunately I couldn't get them all base coated, there are 15 lascannons, the domitar and the spartan still to base coat.

 

However I feel significant progress has been made, I'm hoping to do more over the weekend

They look cracking, I think the hazard stripes and legion icon set them as IVth, so no stress about mixing them up with Xth!

I like the sculpted shoulder-pads with the hazard stripes moulded on  

 

As someone who doesn't play Horus Heresy, I'm always surprised at the amount of firepower some units have..!

They look great.  Bringing back memories of my call to arms last year.  I didn’t do any of those awesome Siege Terminators though.

As someone who doesn't play Horus Heresy, I'm always surprised at the amount of firepower some units have..!

It makes painting hazard stripes sooo much easier. I wouldn't have been able to do the marines stripes without it. Some squads don't have those pads and so will remain non hazardous, I like to think of them as new recruits that have yet to earn them

Thank you Dave, I'll have to go look at yours! The siege termies are just regular AoD ones with the cyclones stuck on top, dead easy to make

Progress on the tanks!

I'm still aiming to get these boys completed, I think it'll be close. Potentially I have a full day of painting at the weekend, so I'd love to see what I can get boxed off.

 

Also, feels good to actually have so many models painted. Really glad I vowed, and so grateful to the bnc ad the members that make it possible

Thank you! I get told that a lot, I'm not sure if that's because that's the best that can be said about my painting? It's just masking tape and an airbrush, its not skill.
