Feels like they just gave one example of each.  Also aren't all three of them in their respective battle forces?  Feels like marketing.

Eisenhorn isnt that old of a mini.  I hope he isn't gone, nor Karamazov.

Hes not that old, but he is in resin unfortunately. He typically also has rules to buff daemonhosts which aren't being sold anymore (as they're metal), so they may have just decided to stick him in legends for now and just keep to one named rep for each ordo.

Eisenhorn is an incredible model. One of the best Inquisitor minis, easily.

Even if they remove Daemonhosts, they could still have rules for him. They just need to re work a few of his special rules.

Edit: I just saw the linked article a page prior. He probably is gone. Now I'm hoping that the build-your-own Inquisitor will be able to represent him properly.

Like the loss of Death Cult Assassins, another disappointment.

I guess the hope is that if this dex is a strong foundation and a good way forward, they can add back some of the stuff they removed this edition when we get to 11th.

Campaign books don't seem to be big drivers of change and development like they used to be- there aren't datacards or model releases associated with  either of the campaign books we've seen this edition, so I doubt units will be added this edition once the dex is here. Still possible, just not very likely given the trends set so far this edition.

But it is a shame how close they can come to getting things right... And then fumble on the one yard line.

In fairness, the two campaign books this edition so far are Crusade ones, more like expanded versions of the likes of Beyond the Vail, Plague Purge, Amidst the Ashes, etc. Rather than the main ones like Arks of Omen or Psychic Awakening, or even the Warzone Books like Charadon, Nachmund or Octarius, all of which came with new models and army rules.

On the other hand, they have said that one of the major complaints that they're keeping in mind this edition is players not wanting to carry around too many books to play. So maybe they really are moving away from releasing models alongside campaign books.

We both know that's not gonna happen.

I am a little disappointed there are only 3 they named but like  @DemonGSides said

But making Eisenhorn, Karamazov, Cartavolnus, Lok, Rex, and OM Inquisitor in Terminator armor legends just sucks. Hopefully they "Generic" Inquisitor has decent rules.

Seeing the title of the recent Warcom article "Who Are the Three Named Inquisitors in Codex: Imperial Agents" seems to finally put the nail in the coffin that Karamazov, and Eisenhorn are going to Legends.

Uncle Krazypants™ will now by the guest warglave for my Agents army, I suppose. Not the decision I wanted to make but the one I probably will.

Eisenhorn going to legends while the community is getting excited hoping for an Eisenhorn Amazon show seems like a mistake.

Pretty sure if that was announced, a plastic eisenhorn would be on shelves in time for the premier. Plus the decision was likely made while it was still unclear which direction the Amazon talks would go. Now if the show was set to drop right now, you'd be correct.

It's the fate of everything in the GW main range (specifically 40k and AoS) that's resin. I can see a timeline where even Forge World no longer does resin, but it's still a very long ways off.

Y'know what?

I didn't realise Eisenhorn was a Resin miniature.

Sort of makes sense that he's going then, huh.

That said, if you can still make a generic inquisitor into a Psyker then you could just add one of them to your list and use the Eisenhorn mini as the model for them.

That said, there'll probably be a Plastic Eisenhorn at some point, especially if the book series continues.

Lord Inq Hector Rex was one of my favs:yes:

Being one of the very few people to actually stand before the golden throne and converse with the Emperor.

The resin stuff not being included is just:furious:

I'm still holding out some hope that IA getting an actual codex and not just a "here's rules to use them" article in a random White Dwarf issue means that IA will be treated as an actual army for at least one edition, which would mean we can hopefully get an actual wave of releases.

I think all the resin stuff is going to Legends, yes.

Just biding their time until the show is released before they preview the all new re-sculpted, all plastic Eisenhorn who somewhat looks like whichever actor they got to play him :teehee:

To be fair...what do you think all the various kill team boxes that were released in the last few years and make up the bulk of the datasheets in this codex were? Pretty sure that wave has arrived a while ago and is now being consolidated.

But...being an actualy codex with actual army rules does bode well for future releases.

What is his size vs an Armiger?

The overall volume is correct even if he is a bit too short. His model is essentially the classic box dreadnought with an ornate throne instead of the boxy body. The throne is taller though, bringing it a bit into place. Since I own a few warglaves, I'll probably pack one to any game I use Karamazov in, just in case folks want the "official" size.
