Noserenda
Yeah ive played against all kinds of different maniples with my typically light maniples and never felt particularly frustrated, some matches are harder than others obviously but thats always a problem with skew lists. In fact, the one event i ran mostly Warlords i repeated got my ass beat :D By a mostly knights list even! Knights are no joke in CQB, once those void shields are no longer a factor they’ll tear up a Titan. Hell, even with the shields, Acastus and Atrapos can carve a Titan up fairly easily if left unchecked. Noserenda
Oh definitely, i blew the snot out of most of his list but one group of lancers snuck through and killed most of my titans outmanoeuvring me at knife fighting range and stabbing me up! Deschenus Maximus
Acastus aside, I’ve always felt like Knights are just too easy to kill for their points. Yeah they’re deadly if they get in melee but getting there is the entire issue. It's like the malcador infernus, you just waste too much time/take too much damage trying to close distance for something so expensive. Yeah they’re deadly if they get in melee but getting there is the entire issue. This was my biggest issue with their representation in Legions Imperialis. The majority of their weaponry isn’t designed to fell Titans, it’s for countering other Knights and tanks / infantry. They’re literally built for LI, yet they’re relegated to an Auxiliary selection and their weapons are still a bit lacking. There’s no reason GW couldn’t have made them their own faction and given their weaponry better profiles for doing so. Instead, they feel out of place in both AT and LI with very few exceptions. It will never not be funny to me that the Cerastus Acheron doesn't even have a flame template in LI. Like... the hell? DuskRaider
It will never not be funny to me that the Cerastus Acheron doesn't even have a flame template in LI. Like... the hell? Especially for how much they cost in game. It annoys me to no end that the Cerastus are awesome looking, but of all the variants, only 2 of them are actually worth taking into a game: the Lancer and the Atrapos. The Acheron and the Castigator are just… bad. Even the majority of the Questoris are subpar and from what I understand, the Moirax are sadly poor performers as well.
