Hail Brothers and Sister!

I'd just like to take a moment to welcome Mephiston back to the tabletop.

Now I could turn this into a post about how absolutely and completely awesome he is but if you don't know by now you are obviously a filthy heretic or xenos.

May a Cathedral fall upon your head and may you be shunned by your brother's for your sacrifice.

Soooo. 4+ and Lone op. Loyalist Daemon Prince is back baby.

I won't do my usual thesis on hypotheticals, I just want to express my genuine Joy that he's back!

Lone Op is beautiful, suits the lore and solves one of his problems (wings is the other).

Will see how long the 4+ lasts but I intend to use him in every single list from here on in.

Get around him.

*Combine with the Sanguinor for absolute BA bliss.

I agree, he looks like a pretty dang good guided missile. Some people have been experimenting with the Lone Op upgrade from Vanguard on a TDA or Gravis Captain to get a mini-monster rampaging around the enemy's backfield. Mephy has it all in one package and with a 2+/5++/4+++, he is going to be pretty hard to kill. That 4+++ also minimises the risks from any Hazardous tests he needs to take.

Deployment is a little harder if he is limited to M7" and has nothing to represent the old Wings. However he can still ride in a Transport, even if he can't join a squad so there are decent options. I really think he is going to be fun to play with in this form.

I forgot the new mini edition has FNP for hazards. Both plasma and warp. He's going to wreck stuff!

Sorry I've missed this information, where can it be found?

On of the images on the Warcom article had some sightly blurry shots of data cards, including Mephiston. While not perfectly clear, it does look like he has gained Lone Operative and a 4+++.

Ah okay, I've been on holiday so I'm just catching up on everything. Looks like a decent box.  Shame there isn't a proper kit for the DC dread and I have about 20 A.Int here I've never built, but I'll still grab a box.  Wondering if a box or two of the old DC would be worth picking up for the extra pistols and hammers.

I know what you mean. I have seen some nice 3D prints for the Brutalis that look much more impressive for converting it to  a DC Dread.

A box of DC sounds like a decent idea as the amount of bling on the new sprue looks a bit disappointing. Whether the Hammer and IP are usable in the new DC remains to be seen.

Has he definitely got some version of wings? I admit I'm not the best player but Lone op on a footslogger without Deep Strike, Scout or Infiltrate doesn't seem as good as it could be with movement buff?
