Are there any cat themed chapters?

I know there are some themed around big cats like the celestial lions. Are there any themed around regular cats? Googling got me Japanese cat girl stuff, which is too reddit for my tastes.

I did a list with themes for a chapter with a cat-theme/having cats as their totem some time ago, could post it if you are interested.

Psychic Awakening introduced a Chapter called the Obsidian Jaguars. There is not a great deal of information about them apart from that they have a history of allying with the Space Wolves. You can read more about them here:

I think there is some distinction between cat girls and ferries, but anyone who knows enough to explain it shoukd never be allowed near children.

 

 

Thanks everyone. I was thinking that cats are quite Strathy and ambush predators. I was trying to think of a way of distinguishing them from raven guard.

I can think of quite a few big cat themed ones (as you said Celestial Lions, Astral and Tiger Claws, various Leopards, Jaguars, etc. Plus DIYs like the Fiery Lions, Star Leopards, etc)

 

but nothing springs to mind for domestic cats... maybe they just aren't big enough to be impressive to Astartes?

 

Maybe some of the smaller 'big' cats could work... lynx or servals aren't much bigger than a domestic cat?

 

Or I suppose cats could be considered lucky/sacred, as in for an Egyptian themed Chapter a la the Thousand Sons? (I don't know if the Blood Ravens have any Egyptian themes?)

Thousand Sons are more Gnostic themed than Egyptian themed, and cats don't have the same significance in Gnosticism as in Egyptian Mythology.

Also, RE: "Housecat" themed Marines.
Other than a certain fan-made cat-maid chapter you've probably seen already while searching, there's not really any Housecat themed Marine chapters.

The White Panthers are a pretty classic scheme, though I don't think much has been written about them, lore wise.

 

[Actually, looking them up, apparently they were originally the winner of a "Design a Space Marine Chapter" competition at the 1994 Golden Demons.]

I loved them in the third ed codex. 

 

ADB initially wanted to write a novel about them but it turns out there's a real life hate group by the same name. He went with the Emperor's Spears instead.
