Nothing about Jump Packs with the SP makes me hesitant to be super happy. I literally don't care about walking Sanguinary Priest.

Yeah Sanguinary Guard and sanguinor at a minimum. I'm really hoping for gladiator Baal variants too.

If there's a way to build a raised up power fist it might be possible to broadly replicate the classic 2e box art captain

That's a rumour engine solved on the Sanguinary Priest, it's a nice detail that the lamp and scanner on the back pack can be moved to match the way he's facing. Really like the look of the captain in cold with the mask.

Love the captain, too bad I already have half dozen captains already. The sanguinary priest is ok but doesn't feel different enough from a regular apothecary to me. Give him a blood chalice and I'm sold.

Well, that was short for the people thinking that Lemartes and Astorath weren't Primaris.

 

The SP is nice, but I think it would have been perfect if you could use it to build a generic SP or Corbulo, similar to Lazarus.

 

I like the Captain, but I've never been a big fan of the musculata style armour, I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to cannibalise it for bits for a proper BA Jump Captain.

BA Captain has that Inferno Pistol, meaning he's likely one of the 14 datasheets in the supplement.

Love the Sanguinary Priest, just wish I moved quicker to snag the old one before it sold out online.

 

Love the design of the Captain but not enamoured with the pose. However as always I'll hold my final judgement until I've seen it painted by non-eavy metal painters and from other angles.

 

Overall this Blood Angels release is shaping up to be brilliant!

interesting that one of the shoulder designs includes a wing with three blood drops (tycho design)

 

I think I would have liked to see a loin cloth thing for the captain, and maybe some longer hair (as a bespoke model like this could afford to have that).

I really like the Captain and I particularly like the Gold one. One minor criticism (which I think won’t be a problem when we see ALL the options) is that his company pouldron doesn’t have an eagle. Currently, he has a Lieutenant’s Company pouldron.

 

the Sanguinary Priest is nice but I agree with others who’ve said he’s not quite different enough from the regular apothecary. I think I’ll be trying to have mine hold a grail. 

A side note is I now do fear for the Sanguinary Priest’s Jump Pack.

Weird that they almost completely muscled up the Captains armour, but then for some reason decided to leave the back of the lower legs as standard mkX.  Its off putting, seems incongrous.  Like they started off with a base MkX file, and forgot to do that bit.

Huh, i actually like both of these. Captain seems to have some nice options, Priest looks distinct enough from an Apothecary (although still could be more so) I hate that theres no jump pack option but I'll probably get both anyway.

Both are beautiful and it's very nice that you have some posing possibilities for the captain. But they forgot the nippels!
