Blood Chalice present and correct, it is just on his belt rather than in his hand. I almost wonder if this is meant to represent Corbulo as he has the right wargear and the alternate builds are for a generic SP.

I like them quite a bit. The BA captain is exactly the aesthetic I wanted from the primaris upgrade, while I miss the older more "harsh" firstborn look, if they're going primaris only I want stuff that looks like the captain

 

Sanguinary Priest is decent. I don't know why but the sculpted chalice on the leg isn't doing it for me but that's a minor gripe

A side note is I now do fear for the Sanguinary Priest’s Jump Pack.

 
The first thing I noticed was that the SP was not holding the grail. I will be doing the same thing.
 

My only other gripe is that the musculature of the left leg on the captain looks pretty rough (easy enough to just hack it off and give him a better one though). The rest is amazing!

I was about to ask where the Priest's Chalice was, somehow missed it on first glance. XD Not quite sure how I feel about it, comes off too Apothecary too me. (and yes I know they 'are' Apothecaries, but you know what I mean)

If the rumours of the Blood Angels preorder at the end of the month are true I would expect all Mondays until then to be BA reveals as they need to get the reveals out there before the book is up. 

 

The Sanguinary Priest was expected but he doesn't seem Blood Angels enough for me? If you take off the chalice and the shoulder pad he could just be a generic Apothecary.

 

And while the Captain is nice with the different armour style I'm really not sure if another generic Captain is what we needed even if he is Blood Angels themed

Both models look awesome. probably an expensive way to get powerfists and infero pistols but hey, there is a way right?

I don't normally like bare heads. I like the helmets but both these heads look great as well

2 awesome models. more and more tempted with BA really...

Yeah it could be, looks a little like Corbulo doesn't it?

The gold cap and the SP both look like Tycho and Corbulo, I'm pretty sure it was intentional.

Hmmm... now that we know that the BA Captain will need to be its own datasheet (Inferno Pistol), I really think Tycho and Corbulo will be gone.

 

If there being 14 datasheets is accurate, then one assumes:

1. Dante
2. Mephiston
3. Astorath
4. Lemartes
5. Blood Angels Captain
6. Sanguinor
7. Sanguinary Priest 
8. Sanguinary Guard
9. Death Company Intercessors
10. Death Company Intercessors with Jump Packs
11. Death Company Dreadnought
12. Librarian Dreadnought
13. Furioso Dreadnought
14. Baal predator 

And then some sort of Detachment or Army rule for Death Company Brutalis, etc.

I think the Death Co. Brutalis we've seen IS the new Death Co. Dread. You can also use your old box 'nought Death Co. Dread as one but those brapples are now just for show.

We went over this in the other thread (it's a long one so understandable if it was missed), but that number includes the Combat Patrol datacards. Similar wording and style to the DA update. 

 

So 14 is our assumption, expecting a 4 unit combat patrol.

Definitely hints if not outright build options for Tycho and Corbulo there too which is nice even if they dont get datasheets.

It's funny to look at the 8th-Ed codex photo section now and see that basically all of the Firstborn models have now been replaced (assuming the Sanguinor and SG rumors are correct). The only real exceptions now are the Terminator Librarian and the Sanguinary Ancient.

 

And leave it to GW to finally bring out a generic Blood Angels Captain only after the Lieutenant Model has been given the Emperor's Peace.

The Death Company Brutalis is probably replacing the "Death Company Dreadnaught", but depending on what else is lost from the army, it could just be an additional datasheet added on.

Death Company Intercessors is very likely getting merged with the Death Company Marines datasheet.

Death Company Intercessors with Jump Packs will probably absorb the current Death Company Marines with Jump Packs datasheet.

The new Blood Angels Captain appears to have bits that resemble Tycho, so even tho it's not him, this datasheet will probably replace Tycho's datasheets (alternatively, the presence of Tycho parts means that the BA Captain only replaces one of Tycho's datasheets and doubles as a new kit for the one that remains).

The new Sanguinary Priest appears to have bits that resemble Corbulo, but since the Sanguinary Priest already has a datasheet, it could mean that this kit doubles as a new kit for Corbulo (or that Corbulo is getting removed).

We have rumoured new Sanguinary Guard and Sanguinor on the way still as well.
Additionally, some datasheets don't correspond to a model, like the Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack.
Typically GW would remove such a kit, but maybe the new Sanguinary Priest kit has a Jump Pack we haven't seen and it also fills the role as a kit for that datasheet too.

 

Scratch literally all of that, someone explained the 14-to-18 datasheet thing while I was typing it out.

Actually, Death Company Brutalis is still probably replacing the "Death Company Dreadnaught" datasheet, tho it's possible the old boxnaught loadout stays in as a wargear choice (like the new Jump Captain's Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield loadout option.)

The Lieutenant hasn't been given the Emperor's Peace, they all got promoted to Captian.

It's not.  18 includes our combat patrol, and the default assumption is 4 units in the Combat Patrol.  So 14 datasheets.

If I had a nickel for every release that had “model that looks like it should be Corbulo but isn’t” I’d have…. Two nickels, but it’s weird it’s happened twice.
