That would be cool but they have shown 3 alternate heads and 2 alternate arm poses but they all have the grail on the belt. My guess is that bit is non-negotiable (at least without plastic surgery).

I am not talking about BA bling, but about the techno stuff. Primaris Apothecaries have none of these, just normal backpacks with few things added on top.

The captain looks like it had the old tycho and rouge trader captain as major influences, both of which had the same sort of styling to the legs.

That’s kinda what I was hinting about, suggested he is actually legitimately gone to me

It would make sense to me that they’ve finally removed him from the data sheets.  Can’t believe it took this long really. Was the Armageddon supplement 3rd or 4th edition? It’s been so long my memory is failing me.

I think he died during 3rd edition events, I’m sure his death was actually in a white dwarf article rather than the Armageddon codex itself though.

Since the Captain has a new loadout, will his datasheet have the standard foot Captain abilities of Finest Hour + Rites of Battle or will get something new?

Probably they'll still get Rites of Battle but swap Finest Hour for something else

I’m not so sure we’ll get a specific datasheet for this Captain. I think GW will just errata the SM Captain to allow it to take an inferno pistol.

Yeah I wonder.  They left the Jump Pack Captain with loadout options that aren't available in the kit; can still equip him with power hammer + Shield, even tho neither bit is in the box.

I really wonder.

Oh neat, they're pretty much how I called it. And with a tiny bit of work the sanguinary priest can be used as a regular apothecary.

 

Now to wait for the golden boys.

All the previous WH+ 40k models have been based on artwork. Do you know is the BA Terminator Captain looks like any artwork? Off the top of my head the only pieces I can think of with a BA Terminator Captain is the Dave Gallagher 3rd edition Codex & the various artwork of Karlean for Shield of Baal in 7th ed.

I think the captain looks fairly ok in red but amazing in gold. When I scrolled down the change really popped the model.

Well GW have officially said there will be no Jump Pack options for Sanguinary Priest. 
 

Guess it’s Foot SP only moving forward
