After 6 years break from hobby i found myself in need to return. God Emperor calls for me.

Any AM army starts from infantry, so i just take a box and start from scratch. There is first test model. Any critic are welcome.

A little bit of progress over first infantry squad. It's more like battle against shaking hands and awful paints available in my place. Have no access to gw paints because of our local insane prices for them.

Looking like good results so far.

What paints are you using?

With you saying about shaking hands, have you tried bracing against something? (edge of the table, etc) Or using a magnifier?

Thank you. I'm using local acrylic paints called Zvezda and Pacific88.  Second one makes good washes and effect paints like rust or dirt.

Magnifier looks like a good idea. Gonna find my old one in the basement.

Painting soulless headless bodies a bit boring, so i decided add some life to process.

This is Janet. She was life burner before enlisted, wasting her life in bars and clubs. But becomes real life burner after she got her melta.

Get my hands on large paints set and decided to make some experiments on my little guards. Trying to get mor colourful and vibrant guards. IMG_20240901_192956.thumb.jpg.cd2c8277e8779910a95fb7b1cbf37477.jpg

Gonna try more colour schemes on other guys in squad.

Also would be glad for any critic you can give.

The grey and green scheme looks really nice - the blue and green seems a bit more like Number 1 Best Dress Parade uniform or something, but I think it'll be interesting to see the mix in the squad. I do think that that darker green on the armour looks better than the brighter green you've used on the chap on the right. Always good to see an Imperial Guard army!

thanks for the comment. i like the idea of a parade units, like early  heresy imperial army , or at least a bright army since most AM look very drab. I'm trying to find a bright enough but not too flashy color scheme for the rest of the units.

two more guys and two more color schemes. The last one, the one in yellow pants, turned out almost okay.

Regiment name: Elrins 12th regiment "The Flying circus"

Commander: Jury Nikulin

Home world: Elrin Secundus

Status: active combat

Elrin Secundus is a mining world with a developed industry in segmentum Ultima. The southern regions of the planet are infested with Orks. To combat the constant threat of greenskins, a planetary defense force was formed.

Last regiment formed was Elrins 12th regiment. Due to the doctrine of deployment, as well as unexpected and unorthodox tactical decisions, the 12th regiment was nicknamed "The Flying Circus"

The regiment consists of 20 companies with 3 squads each. The company also includes heavy weapons squads, field artillery and Sentinels squads. Every company have Valkyrie attached to it. Currently half of regiment fighting green waves in south west region of continent.

I like the blue scheme, but there again it kinda reminds me of the Mordian regiment. (probably a good thing)

Your background seems nice.

there is a lot regiments, some how it would be similar to some. so i have idea like every company can have own colour scheme(armour) but sharing cloth colour( i think it should be grey). i have a litle to none hobby time so slowly could build consistent army
