I like the Sanguinor. He's a pretty faithful 1:1 of the old model at least and they didn't go all-out with a Tactical Diorama like I expected them to.

The Primaris Sanguinary Guard just aren't doing it for me though. They seem a bit uncannily thicc in a way the old ones didn't? The wings are also a massive downgrade, even if they were always a decorative feature.

Putting a wing pattern on the jump pack's stabilising fins is an interesting choice.

Also the Sanguinor's helmet looks like it's got a beard.

The spears look interesting, maybe they'll have Lance or something.

I like both, the Sanguinary Guard are fairly nice, although like with most of the Primaris jump units, it'd be better if they were more grounded. That said, I wish they used the single-thruster jump packs like the Sanguinor and Lemartes have.

Serviceable, main reason to get the new ones is the spears or if one is unaffected by the loss of wings. But Sanguinor wakes a mighty need to own the kit in my, despite no allegiance to the angels sons.

Actually, I think i miss the left shoulder pad from the previous ones the most. But that is also one of the most recreated one with 3d printers iirc.

I’ve been pretty pleased with the BA stuff so far, and I like to stay positive most of the time. But I’m a bit indifferent here.

Yes, it’s nice to get a refresh and the Sanguinor needed a new model. But I’m not sure the new SG look special enough given their status and role.

I like the new Sanguinor a lot! I think they’ve done a good job bringing the old model up to the new scale.

I’m likewise dead chuffed with the SG. I’m sure I’m in the minority here but I was never a fan of the old kit, and personally I’m quite happy to see the more restrained detailing on these new models.  That being said they still do suffer from the same problem that the jump pack primaris had with what to me is still quite awkward posing.

Not a fan of big, dumb, named characters, and have not been swayed by Sanguinor here. The SanGuard look alright, through! Especially with the unhelmed heads.

Not changing my avatar any time soon. Wild that GW managed to designed a decent set of spooky mask-helmets exactly once, during the first run of Stormcast Eternals, and never again.

Will probably grab a box of the Sanguard and slap some 30K BA helmets on 'em. that'll work.

Personally I'm disappointed with both of these. The Sanguinor is pretty much the same model - plus beard - which is okay I suppose, but had hoped for something more interesting / impressive. Wingless Sanguinary Guard are a downgrade imho.

I don't dislike the Sanguinor, but after knowing what he actually is, a Primarch level mini would have been better IMO.

The SG are fine, but I think they lack some of the bling of the old ones.

After these what would be left to Primarise? Baal Gladiator, Death Company Redemptor, Furioso Redemptor, Librarian Redemptor and Corbulo?

Funny, I find it's the exact opposite for me. I like the helmeted heads better.

I really like the new helmets for the Sanguinary Guard, they're less opulent then the last ones which could be seen as a downgrade but I really like the new visage. Even if I don't pick up any of the golden boys anytime soon I could see myself trying to nab some for other projects. I also like their armour overall, I'm glad they haven't got armour as detailed as Dante/The Sanguinor (i like this about the captain too). It's fancier than regular armour but not as much as the real big wigs, a good in between. I was never a huge fan of the wings before so I'm not as bothered by  their absence but it doesn't come across as odd on the first glance, you really expect them to be there.

The Sanguinor is more restrained than I was expecting, I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen a ridiculous wingspan or a surfeit of srcoll work/doves/cherubs. I think they could have gotten away with all too if they wanted to but I like the more modest offering as well. It's a solid update of the old model. The chin does look a little odd, like her has a beard or chin strap but maybe that's the paint job/angle??

Seeing these models, who are clearly made by a designer who constrained in what they are allowed to do, and which are incredibly mid and boring, much like most modern 40k sculpts, makes me sad.

The very same company pumps out banger after banger for AoS and Necromunda. It is absolutely insane.

The Sanguinor is fine, if uninspired.

The SG are off, somehow. Like the chests are too broad. And it is due to the weirdly square pecs. The poses are also janky. Thoroughly disappointed.

40k really needs to be allowed to color outside the box when it comes to design.

The Sanguinor is fine, not going to win any awards for me but still fine.

The Sanguinary Guard on the other are even worse than I thought and I already came to terms with them losing their wings since that has been in the rumours for a while now.
But they look like somebody just kitbashed Stormcast together with Jump Intercessor and called it a day, they are just missing any flavor for me.
Just look at the Inner Circle Compansions as the DA equivalent and they scream DA to me. These do not do the same for BA

Sanguinor looks decent but the head feels off. The SG I really don't like the wings on the fins. Honestly, it just looks odd. The 3rd guy on the right also looks very awkwardly posed too imo. Looks like he's over reaching to get something out a cupboard that's too high.

I was expecting something a bit more centrepiecey from the Sanguinor, for him to almost be the BA's counterpart to Guilliman and Jonson in terms of size. It's fine though, if not exactly inspiring.

The Sanguinary Guard however... my first reaction is that they are a Coteaz-level downgrade. Let's hope my opinion softens after multiple viewings.
