In my brain, starting off by indicating WHEN the action happens but also declaring limitation so that you can summarize the exact scope would be best.

"In your opponents shooting phase a unit can perform a Red Thirst move, once per phase, if the bearer's unit was hit by one or more attacks "

 

But brains work differently so I'm happy for you that the current phrasing makes sense and that you have the calculating mind to catch the limitation right off the bat!

So theres rumors suggesting that assault terminators won't be until 11th edition?

 

Well that sucks. Any idea on vanguard veterans?

Yes, I know the upgrade sprue has a lot of those extra details but the Sanguinary Guard kit could have been a way to flesh it out even further. The old kit had extra details to add, but this is another thing missing from this kit compared to the old one.

 

With that Blood Angels icon being molded to the model instead of separate (which I hoped it would be) you are cutting down on the limited individuality of each model even further.

They could always do a "The Restof the 1st Company Crosses The Rubicon to join the Assault!" style release in 2025 that had both Assault Terminators and VV in Primaris scale, but I don't think there's any rumors either way right now that I've heard.

I'm thinking of making my own Primaris Scale Vanguard Vets, but I am legit worried they're going to change how the squad works like they did Death Company.

No word on them, they are one of the last holdouts of Firstborn (along with Tactical and Devastator squads).

We're never going a year without new space marine models, so I think it's safe to assume one of them will cross in 2025, or be replaced by something more-or-less equivalent.

I know there was speculation on them getting Primaris'd via a Killteam Release before the final confirmation that it wasn't season of Sky and no-one else was going to be flying about in that manner.

 

Plus I'm still expecting GW to announce Codex Space Marine 2 with a second new wave of stuff because LSM are struggling and GW can't let the poster boys sit on the bench a whole edition just because the first pass at 10th Codexs was a dud.

…um…they’re not coming out with a new codex just because ours sucks.

 

they plan all this :cuss: out years in advance, and aren’t changing their plans because a codex is underwhelming. If they feel the need to fix that they’ll do it with FAQs and errata.

I've got a bunch of bits set aside for it, but it's way down my list of priorities because I want to see if I can make it both playable and match what I want it to be. If I can't I'll just ignore playability if I have to.

I'm liking the become Battle Shocked but get both benefits of the Stratagem for the Liberator Assault Group.

Agreed, all three of those are pretty thematic and give me what I want.  It's kinda sad to not see any representation for the vehicle side of things outside of the Brutalis Dread, and no detatchment representation anywhere for those same vehicles outside of the generic DC detatchment applying to the aforementioned Dread.

Will this be the end of Lucifer Pattern Engines?  I don't see how it even shows up as a strat in any of what we've seen.

Otherwise, really happy with DC getting Battleline.  I was only going to put together 20 or so JP DC but if I could in fact run 60 of them...

Yeah I like that a lot of our stratagems are decent base but then you can opt into a negative that’s still thematically appropriate to get extra benefit. Thematic!

I think they just want to quietly brush to old overcharged engines under the rug sadly. 
 

they don’t really have a place in the new rule setup I guess. What they COULD have done though, is given our impulsors and rhinos a separate datasheet (like black templars) that costs a little more but are faster

Oh well.  Just glad these detatchments aren't completely boring like some of the other detatchments have been.  The Angelic Host is a little weak in what we've seen so far, but everything so far is thematic which is more or less what I want.

I dunno, the fact it has a strat that lets a unit drop more than 3” away seems good, and we know it also has an advance, shoot and charge strat too. The ability to hop units around was always good via the old strat so it being a native detachment ability seems cool. Handy for inceptors as the fire support of that detachment!

I wish it was 2-3-4 instead of 1-2-3 for battle size.  Otherwise I agree, any free movement is going to be strong in an objective based game.

We've had multiple editions in the past where LSM got 2 Codexes and IIRC they were supposed to for 9th but it got cancelled.

That is to say that LSM Codex 2 is possible.

I didn’t say they never did 2 in an edition, I said they plan this stuff out in advance.

if it wasn’t already planned by the time the first codex was released #2 isn’t happening just because our codex sucks
