Taliesin
I was just wondering, with the ( imo quite awesome ) new model revealed today, what have been the most notable appearances of the Sanguinor if I want to read up on him? Can be BL fiction or supplements. Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383466-sanguinor-in-black-library-fiction/ Share on other sites

Karhedron
"Herald of Sanguinius" covers the Sanguinor's origins during Imperium Secundus. LemartestheLost
Dante is great and so is Darkness in the Blood, those two in particular are of value IMO because you get different perspectives of the same entity from Dante and then Mephiston. Hopefully we get a new Blood Angels novel announced next week or something. It’s the only thing that could turn around this new BA release for me personally. It would be good to know what the space vamps are up to. That being said, the Sanguinor has appeared in two (three?) of the last four Blood Angels novels so I don’t know if he is/should be featured in the next one. DarkChaplain
Herald of Sanguinius and Ruinstorm for Heresy, I'd say. And for 40k, it's really down to Haley's BA trilogy, I suppose. Good thing they're great! ....I'm pretty disappointed in the new model, though. Lackluster posing/base, same tired floating with parchment legs concept, low height level and that mask... grailkeeper
I was going to say in the other thread that the new model reminds me of Dr Zaius but got there too slow. LemartestheLost
Thanks guys. Already have Dante, Ruinstorm and Eye of Terra anthology on the shelf so thats good to know. Darkness in the blood no longer available. Your best bet is to go to Barnes & Noble/large bookstore chain and see if they have the Lords of Blood Omnibus in a warehouse somewhere. Sure, you pay for Dante again but you’re also getting The Devastation of Baal (my favorite 40k work of all time)AND Darkness in the Blood. Good value if you ask me. DarkChaplain
The Omnibus also includes Astorath: Angel of Mercy It's ridiculous that the omnibus is already difficult to get, barely a year after it released in general retail... That's a great line up of books, three of the best 40K novels IMO. Haley doesn't get the credit he deserves for this trilogy IMO.
