Hi all.

With access to adult money with which to buy all the Warhammer that we dreamed of as children, occasionally comes the boring adult-ing of bills and financial planning.

Whilst doing such adulting *shudder* yesterday morning I discovered that somehow for the last year-and-a-half I had been paying a monthly subscription to audible I had no idea was going out of my bank account.

Having promptly cancelled it, I then received an email this morning to tell me that I had 4 weeks to use all of my audible 'credits' I had built up during this time, or lose them forever!

Each 'credit' buys me one 'audible' audio book.

So... I have 4 weeks to select 18 audio books.

Any recommendations?

Thinking primarily Warhammer fiction, but also happen to listen to other similar fantasy and sci-fi fiction too.

There's a lot of quality audiobooks for 40k - so many it's hard to know where to start. Have you read/listened to Abnett's Inquisition work, or ADB's Night Lords Trilogy? Those are popular works to dip your toe in - but if you're a more seasoned reader, let me/us know what you've already read.

If you *must* spend them and listen within a short spell, I’d very strongly recommend some audio dramas- Dredge Runners, all of the horror ones and Titan’s Bane in particular. You don’t get much listening time per credit but they are great fun

In no particular order (I've listened to all of them):

I also enjoyed the Gotrek and Felix books, but they're not board-appropriate.

I think it's just spend. When you cancel your Audible subscription, I believe you retain access to the books you've bought.

Do you have the Sisters of Battle books?

Faith & Fire, Red & Black, The Book of Martyrs, The Rose at War, Pilgrams of Fire, Hammer and Anvil, Broken Saints, Ephreal Stern: Heretic Saint, Mark of Faith, Celestine: The Living Saint, Our Martyred Lady.

Double Eagle is one of my favorites.

The first couple books of the HH series, and all the various collections. There are about a dozen, maybe more, collections of short stories that are quite good value for money.

The Cain series makes excellent audio books, definitely elevated. Broadly id grab everything be robert rath and then look at the many excellent suggestions above :D
