I believe those were one of the standard Ogryn sprites - three in a normal box each making one Ogryn - and afaik reusing one of the monthly free model to paint spruces for the Kasrkin.

It was a new cut sprue which contained the parts for an ogryn (no bullgryn parts) and the volleygun kasrkin from the killteam box.

Which unfortunately along with the bsf character releases sets a bad precident of making new sprues from existing models.

Still fingers crossed we get all new teams this season.

Nope - it was a new sprue, with an Ogryn and Kasrkin on it. (The sculpt was not new, IIRC, but the sprue was.)

Having watched the video, he did say NEW sculpts which thankfully rules out an upgrade sprue for orks. I'm glad for tau and guard players but I'm far more excited as to what comes next. I'd love to see/ hear about them this weekend but fairly certain that won't happen lol

Ranged ogryn don't excite me much; IG have so much range as it is that a dedicated melee or short range Ogryn unit would be welcome.

Wouldn't Bullgryn with mauls be that?

I wouldn't mind new options, but I just want the iconic Ripper Guns to be good

Mauls don't get much done, I want more damage melee as opposed to what bullgryn are now, which is mostly just a living wall.

A bullgryn without a shield and a melee weapon in each hand, or a two handed melee weapon, is different than "Shield Giants" that we have now.

"New Sculpts"... I like the sound of that, except the new fangled GW approach of "this half a head & shoulder part matches to this half Torso & face part"....  makes customising quite a pain... to be fair though, I don't miss metal parts converting anymore...that was a real pain .
