Hi All,

 

Had a great game against Death guard a week ago.   Ended in a 100point tie.  Crazy!!!

 

We had the mission where you get 5 points for holding, 5 points for holding more and 5 points for killing plus 5 points for killing more.

Secondary was the one with 3 cards rather than 2. 

 

(Hence the high scoring).

 

My list was:

 

Magnus

Ahriman

Two Infernal Masters.   (one with rubrics, one just on his own).  one had umbralific crystal and one had Arcane Vortex

DP with wings

 

3X rubrics with flamers and soul reaper cannon

 

2X rhinos

 

2X forgefiends with Ectoplasma cannons

1 Maulerfiend

1 Mutalith Vortex Beast

 

I put the squad of rubrics with the two infernal masters in a rhino to double screamer invocation.   Overall that worked quite well.  The DP generally disappoints me, but this game he was able to deepstrike in for behind enemy lines along with the rubrics  and infernal master with the crystal.    They were also able to take the objective from my opponent in his deployment zone when they did it.

 

The Maulerfiend was a dissapointment for the second game in a row.  I'm thinking of dropping him in favour of a second vortex beast.  Just need to Juggle to find the extra 10 points.

 

Magnus and the Vortex Beast as always were awesome.  I got a little too aggressive with Magnus and he died by the end of round 2, but he took a bunch of points and took out several enemy units before he went.  (maybe not his full points value, but definitely his tactical value before he died.)
