Plastic Melee Weapons? Please? Pretty Please?

Next Resin Primarch for 30k as well maybe?

Guessing the next Codex or two for 40k

AoS would be any remaining Stormcast and Skagen releases? Or maybe the first of their codex equivalents

ToW, Empire maybe? We've just had Dorfs, so it's almost got to be them or Elves next.

"This show will be a little different to our normal previews, with the focus on roadmaps and the inside track on what’s coming soon for all your favourite games."

Will be nice to see what's coming for the foreseeable future but makes me think there might not be as many models shown off. For me that fine, though if they want to surprise me with a huge line of new kits for Dark Eldar I wont complain! If we are to see a bunch of models for 40k I think it's more realistic that we'll see what it's in store for the Imperial Guard as we've had a couple of Kreig-like rumour engine popping up.

sounds like there won't be many mini reveals at all tbh, just roadmap and general faction releases rather than specific reveals. Hopefully both, but would prefer the directional update more at this time

Plastic melee weapons have been delayed so might not come at this preview yet:

I am intrigued by the prospect of a reveal show that features some Design Studio members talking about what's coming up. From my own perspective, that sought of content has been sorely missed in recent years.

For Heresy enthusiasts, if there is a new edition next year then this would be the time to announce it...

Unless it's a Warcry or Necromunda style "New Edition" that's basically just the same rules but with some errata added in and a couple of other minor tweaks, I can't imagine that much of the Heresy community would be happy with that idea.

What I get for no reading the actual article. Regardless, still interesting.

:wallbash:

Mainly being about roadmaps killed my hype a bit, I don't need a preview show for an eventual preview show

Especially when, in the case of the Heresy, they never finished the last one

The roadmaps will probably just be something they throw into the ten minute segment after the relevant reveal.

Why would they announce a new hersey edition  now if it was to come out next year? Though, if anything, it'd just be a rules tidy up and a refresh of what models were offered in the starter box.

It likely wouldn't be announced now, we generally start getting the scuttlebutt about new editions around March of the year they're released? Either way, HH is good and doesn't need much as you say - maybe some point tweaks, switch up some of the un-used rites of war, then drop new Mk2 or Mk4 in the set and everyone will go crazy for it!

Heresy, but a scale shift to 54mm.

If they're going to make any changes to heresy, it should be incorporating Eldar and Orks.

Imperium only games, no matter how good, aren't good. If 40k had always been what Heresy is, I'd never have bothered to play. It would be as boring as any other five faction game.

Exactly, history has shown us that if a new edition is dropping, than GW will only really acknowledge it at Adepticon with a cgi trailer

If it was planned for early 2025 and is, as some people have suggested, more of a general update rather than a completely new edition, then I can see it being first trailed about now. Don't think anyone is expecting a brand new starter box etc. But I am, of course, spitballing here.

This was, I should add, very much a joke about GW making daft changes and scale creep.

Problem is, it probably won't be an early 2025 release. GW will move it to the summer. Later this year we're getting Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohrimm edition so I'd imagine that would decrease any chance of HH 3rd till summer

As much as I'd like the missing legion praetors, the MKII kits would also be grand.

I don't have especially high hopes for the SoS to get stuff but maybe the Mechanicum will see some stuff.

My heart still goes to MKIII legion heads and shoulders though, the kit just does not work well with some legions currently and I play 30k for the flavour you can inject into your legion.

40k has its pluses but there is something to be said about customization without needing to be a sculptor (while I respect such folks, they often seem oblivious to their skillset not being universal).

On the topic of 40k, which Chaos faction do folks think is next on the docket? Haven't heard any rumours on it.

Oh I had forgotten about the new LotR edition. Yeah, that's fair.

...According to the article there will be a focus on roadmaps.

Am I the only one who always hears "roadmaps" said in a Weird Al Yankovic voice

I am? Oh...

There's been some Thousand Sons speculation (/informed hope) based on Rumour Engines and WD fluff, and Death Guard could plop out a single-hero-release at any time (looking at you, Lord of Poxes... or looking for you...). World Eaters seem like they'd need a bit of a bigger wave, and Emperor's Children are probably a year away (at least).

I hope they don’t leave WE to the end of the edition!

Add in the fact that AoS and 40k aren't due a new edition next summer AND heresy 2.0 hits 3 years old then... I'd wager summer 2025 is a sound bet. Especially as the plastic melee weapons are experiencing the longest spring in human history...

On the heresy facebook page they've just updated their pic. Clues or just straw grasping?
