Honest to god, this was genuinely miserable. From the abusive chat, to the "roadmaps" that amounted to a whole lot of vague nothing, I have no idea why I stayed up to catch this.

So.

4 months left of 2024 and we're already out?

We're gonna have to listen to Blood Angels players complaining about their new models for 4 months until anything else comes along to distract them?

No actual roadmap and what appears to be a damning confirmation that Cult Marines are gonna be waiting until right before 11th to get anything.

wow, ok, never mind. I had thought they were doing the right thing buy setting people's expectations low and letting us know there wouldn't be models but it still feel like a let down. At this point they probably shouldn't have bothered with anything else and just made it the Stormcast and Blood bowl show, just leave the other system off the docket completely. Chorfs look great btw.

Oh look, an image! Also the article mentions whispers of chaos.P6WsRvELJUGLTZUP-1536x864.thumb.jpg.d2d07df16296848ebbd2d4559dc555d9.jpg

"whispers of chaos"

yeah, at the end of 2025 according to stream.

literally every remaining Chaos faction gets to share the title of "relased a month before 11th", whoopie :cuss: doo

Honestly, if they'd announced Legion-specifics were coming in plastic at literally any other point the hype explosion would have been immense. It's actually kind of impressive the obnoxious non-roadmap vagueness managed to torpedo what would have been a massive deal for a lot of people.

They've published the actual article, but the Roadmap doesn't offer anymore details beyond confirming there's more factions coming at some point.

The article does confirm the return of Heresy Thursday next month and, I quote, "Leading the charge will be a long sought-after weapons kit, which we’ll be revealing in the coming weeks."

Makes me wonder if they actually will split daemons into the respective legion codecies. Then it would make sense to have them all very close to one another, so no one specific daemon faction will have to wait too long.

"Miniature reveals for the Horus Heresy and Legions Imperialis are set to become much more frequent though, because next month brings the long-awaited return of Heresy Thursday!"

Hah, just what Heresy desperately needs......MORE TANKS.

I hope by "walkers" they mean infantry and not just new weapons options for sentinels hahaha!

40k relevant: Krieg is getting a full wave release with the new codex and Aeldari are getting more Aspect Warriors updated.

I mean, that's wonderful.
I had one faction launch at edition start and is doing terrible (Loyalist Space Marines) and my main faction is, according to comments made on stream, probably gonna launch about a week out from 11th (T-Sons, along with the rest of the Chaos factions).

It sure is nice that the Imperium get yet another range refresh and the Aeldari get to update some of their 30 year old models, but seriously?

Chaos is the second biggest faction in 40k, the most "lore relevant" one and GW decided to :cuss: us all over seemingly for no reason.
