Interrogator Stobz
Yeah, I've basically stopped buying anything for AT and LI. I have heaps and am really happy with it. I no long play 40k, and also have a dozen KillTeams, so nothing needed there despite the new flying teams. If GeeDub want more of my monies in any significant way, let it be Epic Scale Xenos. Let. It. Be. Gillyfish
I agree with most of the suggestions in this thread. It would be a real shame if this game were just allowed to wither and die. Hopefully the keen interest shown by hobbyists (and the fact that, for example, battle reports on youtube still get views) might demonstrate that there is still an appetite for this game. I would absolutely love to see Orks and Eldar in the game and the fan-generated Eldar rules do seem to work well based on that Tabletop Standard battle report and are characterful without breaking the game. However, I suspect with the limited tooling resource GW currently seem to have and the (perceived?) need to push Legions first, we may see new weapons before the other items on our lists. There may be an outside chance for new Titan classes, but I suspect that their comparatively poor performance in LI might dampen that a bit. An alternative might be more community generated rules. The Eldar rules seem to work, so Ork rules should not be impossible. I recall that Power Fields used to go down permanently, but there were more of them, so it would be interesting to see how that might work in this ruleset. If you’re after Gargants, give these a spin: https://apologentsia.blogspot.com/2018/10/inload-engine-war-gargants-for-adeptus.html?m=1 Captain Idaho 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383570-six-years-in-%E2%80%93-your-assessment-of-adeptus-titanicus/page/2/#findComment-6062372 Share on other sites
The_Worker
I dabbled in AT at the start but couldn't find any opponents, so sold my Titans and Knights that I had. I love the models, but I really would love to see Eldar or Orks added (Orks especially would drag me back in). I think the biggest barrier to entry at the moment is the lack of availability of the various cards required, honestly - well, that and opponents... The reboxing of Titans into Legions Imperialis packaging came with a couple of welcome surprises, and that's the inclusion of terminals and weapon cards in the boxes as standard. A much, much better way of distributing these than in fiddly little separate card packs. Gillyfish
Agreed. And the game is still listed as a full game on the GW website, which perhaps indicates that it is selling well. Apologist, those Gargant terminals look great. I need to give them some more thought, particularly around the Krew and Fire mechanisms. apologist 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383570-six-years-in-%E2%80%93-your-assessment-of-adeptus-titanicus/page/2/#findComment-6063951 Share on other sites
apologist
Would very much appreciate your thoughts! V0.8 went up today for playtesting, with the Warlock Titan making its appearance, and the Eldar text being brought into compliance with the Matched Play Guide. And apropos of nothing, I’ve taken a leaf from @Bob Hunk’s awesome tutorials and started a Metalica Maniple: The Yak, DuskRaider and LameBeard 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383570-six-years-in-%E2%80%93-your-assessment-of-adeptus-titanicus/page/2/#findComment-6064298 Share on other sites
