Sete
Sebastos Korr stood in the observation deck of "Purity of Intent". From there he could see the refiting process of the new Battlebarge, aplty named "Adamastor" to be the operational center of the new chapter. "Knights Tempest" The name was etched into his mind as The vision he had witnessed... " A child stand on the edge of the water. The sea licks his feet on the white sand. On his brow a laurel crown. His arm raises and the points towards the horizon. A storm is rising, and the darkness spreads. From the ocean bursts a knight on a winged steed, lance in hand riding towards the tempest..." Hello all! After a hiatus I'm planning to begin anew on my Knights Tempest chapter. I plan to use this old Astral Knights Color scheme, and now I have to decide on a gene sire (a good old dorn chapter or maybe something a bit more heretical?) The inspiration like before will be 16th Century Portuguese Armadas, as I plan for a fleet based chapter, Battle Barge named Adamastor, after the mythological character created by the Portuguese poet Luís de Camões in his epic poem Os Lusíadas, as a personification of the Cape of Good Hope, symbolizing the dangers of the sea and the formidable forces of nature challenged and ultimately overcome by the Portuguese during the Age of Discovery. Adamastor manifests itself out of a storm. As always input, comments and discussion is welcome. For now any suggestion on gene seed is appreciated. Edited August 27 by Sete Spelling. Maque
It’s a great start! I’m intrigued by the Battlebarge being refitted and ‘manifested out of storm’, as well as your suggestions of the gene-seed potentially having darker origins. Could it have originally been a traitor ship discovered passing from the warp? Could it house the sinister fate of a Knights Tempest company emerged back in time to the Chapter’s founding? Is there some unknown gene-seed on board that could be … repurposed? Looking forward to what comes! The last bit about Adamastor is about the mythical figure not chapter lore altough it's not a bad idea.
